Best internet connection for new X1

I am hoping to have my new X1 delivered tomorrow, what are thoughts regarding internet connection, Wired direct to console or Wireless, I can do either easily,

Better internet for Xbox One?

maybe the tech in the X1 will compliment modern day connections, for example.. better CPU's and processors inside the X1 in fact bring out the best of any low to high connection speed.

 

So exactly what will be the point to having an xbox one if all major exclusives are on pc?..

Scott, yes. Major Nelson already tweeted it. The Internet sucks, people raged over the internet for needing an internet Connection with the original Xbox One but no one is saying anything about the truly dirty behavior from MS
in regards to identical Service and Games from Win10/ X1 but X1 is paying the price for the Service.

 

Hard wired will give you the best connection.

 

Wired everyday of the week, if your playing online you want as stable as possible.

Wired would be best, unless of course you can't get into your neighbors apartment to run them; if that is the case "borrowing" their signal is the best. Lol. Seriously though, I have one wired in the living room and one wireless in the bedroom...can't really
say I notice a difference.

Wired is not the best. It just ties you down! FACT. I saw this ad poster on this building the other day of a dog on a leash and a dog running happily in the park without a leash.

Well wired will give you a sure connection (cuz FAR too many things use the 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi band). My place is with Vodafone NZ. Have high speed internet 100mb/sec download and 10mb/sec upload speed. Even on Wi-Fi, the 10mb/sec UPLOAD speed is very stable always
9.8-10.2mb/sec upload speed when I run speed tests. But the download speed does fluctuate between 20-70mb/sec download speed.

Fibre and high speed cable offer the fastest. ADSL seriously struggles in the Upload department. ADSL only averages 0.9mb/sec upload speed. NOT handy if you regularly share and upload HD videos on YouTube. But with Xbox, I think 3mb/sec download speed is
the minimum rock bottom low speed OK for Xbox.

I prefer wireless. Lets you stretch out your arms and jump up high.

It's 2016 and NO ISP in the world can guarantee Perfect Internet every minute of the year. Everyone I've played with has mentioned at some points having dodgy connection. Our world is HUGE, servicing different countries. Even Microsoft's servers aren't perfect.
But they're fairly good. Wired makes you feel like this:

Only when my consoles have serious Wi-Fi issues will I hook it up with a chord.

The OP was asking what is the best in your opinion, they also didn't suggest either was a problem.

Wired is the best, unless there is a real reason not to have wired, and even then wireless isn't always possible.

They are British Telecom, the main phone company in the U.K.

They are a Telecommunications Company so they specialise in this sort of thing and as such their opinion on the matter ought to carry more weight than "bobsthoughtsonbroadband.com".
