Best HDR settings for series x and lg uk6300

i just got a series x and was wondering what the best settings are for hdr, i don't really understand how nits or brightness means when looking at in game settings. most games have there peak brightness at 1000 but my tv says its top is 350, but i cant go any lower than 500 should i just turn hdr off? im also wondering if anyone had suggestion on good 4k tvs for the series x that wont break the bank. i also saw that some tvs have Dolby vision is that better or worse than regular hdr10 and/or do they have a higher nits then other hdr10 tvs. thank you in advance for anyone that takes the time to help me out!

As for the TV you will need to check with the TV support website for more information.

Right now I’m on a 42 inch Samsung QLED 4K HDR set, but before the Series X is out I’m planning on upgrading to the LG C9 or CX in 65 inch. I need that HDMI 2.1 120hz OLED goodness in my life.

Thx for reply, i will try a few things, i have since read, to turn on HGIG on my LG CX TV, then do the hdr calibration on the xbox series x.

Usually this setting is off by default on most TV's. To allow the Xbox to Utilise HDR it has to be enabled first on the TV. Then, once it is enabled, you can set HDR on for your Xbox One X. Your TV manual will explain how. If you can't find it, you can

I just had this same issue on my LG G3 TV. I went in and turned off Dolby Vision on the XBOX Series X and that fixed the issue. HDR works fine. This seems like a issue with a recent update.
