Best expansion/DLC you've ever played?

I know true expansions are rare now-a-days especially in regards to console gaming, but what's the best you've ever played? I guess if you want to use map packs which are the norm for FPS games that's all good.

DLC that has added a lot are what I mean. I've heard that the Shivering Isles expansion was awesome, but I haven't played it.

For me personally the best one so far has been Heart of Stone for The Witcher 3. It gave me about 15 hours of new content. The newest expansion is said to be twice as long. Currently I'm playing Far Harbour for Fallout 4. It's very good and has added loads
of content, but the 25 euro asking price is fairly high.

Others of note were Dragon Age Inquisition dlc and I actually liked the dlc for Sleeping Dogs.

So what do ye like the most and why?

I liked bc2 alot.

but loved the vietnam expansion. One of the best dlcs ever.

 

Would have to say, "Shivering Isles". Right mix of madness, humor, engaging quests, and story-line.

Never got around to buying The Shivering Isles for some reason.

Fallout 3 had some good dlc/expansions & Borderlands usually gives you some good stuff.

Lair of the Shadow Broker was a brilliant bit of dlc for Mass Effect 2 & the dlc for Mass Effect 3 where you have a party at Sheperds place was good.

Did enjoy the "alternative" dlc on Star Wars The Force Unleashed as well.

It was ok on the 2nd game as you got to drop kick Ewoks

 

I don't play most DLC because games are normally done, dusted and traded in before release.

I remember Borderlands 1 & 2 having some great vfm DLC. From what I've played of Far Harbour it's been very good, the rest of the season pass has left a lot to be desired.

Worst DLC I've played is Mafia 2...such a shame because the vanilla game is one of the best sp games on the 360. The Division Underground isn't too clever either!

Bioshock Infinite's Burial at Sea

The Evil Within's The assignment, the consequence and the executioner.

Borderlands 2 - Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep (it pretty much made the game a classic RPG, so good).

My list is going to include some shocking choices, but recognitions (and faults) are given to where they are due.

(1) Act 5 and all of the extra content --> Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition <---

Blizzard gets a 10 out of 10 for delivering some truly epic expansion DLC

Unfortunately, I despise the fact that they " gutted " the perfect gameplay mechanics of Diablo 3 Vanilla and replaced it with a garbage mechanics system. Add to this the fact that they " nerfed " the hell out of Diablo 3 Vanilla, thus making my opinion
of Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition (despite the fact that I love Act 5 and the extra content that came with it) to be a game that is complete and utter trash.

(2) Mass Effect 3: Lair Of The Shadow Broker --> I love this DLC

(3) Aliens Colonial Marines: Stasis Interupted --> I would have played this DLC, except for the fact that didn't have the HDD space and Flash Drive space to put it in. I watched it in Youtube and I can already tell that I would have totally loved this
DLC

I still love Aliens Colonial Marines, but at this point of time I'm not inclined to buy it as I would rather spend that money on Monster High, Descendants 2, and the paltry few worth playing games on the Xbox One's game library.

(4) Destiny: The Taken King --> I love this expansion DLC more than all of the others combined LOL

None....DLC's,microtransactions,free to play is killing videogaming.It's evil and bla,bla,bla.....

More seriously,there are a lot that i like,mainly coming from good/great games.In Borderlands there are usually good,full of content,same with Fallout 3,Witcher 3,Oblivion,Spartan Ops (in Halo 4),Elite Dangerous season pass ,Storm Island (in Forza Horizons
),Dead Rising 3 season pass,GTA IV (stories of liberty city),.....

But hard to choose only one....

 

None unless we're talking about mods on pc games.

Ninja Gaiden - Hurricane Pack 1&2.

Ninja Gaiden 2 - Mission Mode.

Bloodborne - The Old Hunters.

DmC - Vergil's Downfall.

The Last of Us - Left Behind.

Red Dead Redemption - Undead Nightmare.

 

Gears: Raams Shadow. ME: Shadow Broker. Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Any Fallout DLC. RDR: Undead Nightmare. Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

 

As soon as I read the title of the thread I thought the same as Daft Badger, i.e. Fallout 3 and Borderlands.

It does seem that the majority of games people have mentioned above are from last gen. Is this lightly worrying? Are we not getting as good DLC this gen?
