You can't get Kodi on an Xbox One and as far as I'm aware you can't put Kodi on a 360 either. I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain that's the case. You could possibly be able to mirror cast it via a laptop, tablet or phone, like you can with YouTube.

I'm not sure why you'd want Kodi on your XB1 anyway?! Buy a Firestick or an Android Box and whack it on that!

They are referring to the Local Cast app for Android. I am also having this problem not only woth local cast but any app that has the casting ability. Netflix, youtube, etc... are no longer seeing the xbox one on the cast to device list like it used to.
Was there an update that removed this feature of casting directly to the xbox??

have your friend send you a request via the game app to your gamertag.
The 360 uses the friend request system, where as the xb1 uses a "follow" system. If you follow them on the xb1, they will show on your list, but they will not
receive a friend request so they won't be able to see you. The easiest answer is to send them a
friend request on the Xbox website so it will work in both ways.
