Best 4K TV

I only buy Samsung. I'll never buy any other brand.

If you won a $10,000 gaming shopping spree, what would you buy?

And if I get some those thing for xmes. Then I get a 4k TV. So I can have the best TV when 4K games come out for the ONE.

 

Any TV experts out there?

Make sure which ever tv you get it is hdr compatible you will get the best picture possable when 4k is more openly available I own two lg 4k tvs the hdr ready tv picture is a hell of a lot better the the standard 4k tv

 

If your in the UK, check out PC World/Currys. They have had some excellent deals lately. I don't know your budget but one example

Yeah I always check out those places. I'll buy a 4K tv next summer. It's already been approved by the misses lol.

 

couldnt really say which is the best tv, one of my mates has just got himself a curved 4k samsung & and xbox one s and it was impressive seeing GTAV running on it upscaled. I wasnt expecting it to look as good as it did since the 4k movies although more
detailed didnt seem worth the upgrade to me.

I will either buy a 4k tv for the xbox next year or swap with the 4k Lg we have downstairs, iam normally a samsung buyer but seen that the lg had better reviews so went for that instead, but would say from the tv's ive had and the 3d 1080p samsung im using
ive only ever been impressed with their tv's

Owned a few samsungs. LG OLED hands down

 

Samsung and Sony are the best brands. Sony has a low fail rate in their hardware that's what someone told me.

Expensive 4k HDTV's over $1,000 ought to have Gorilla Glass protecting them. Sony does this for a few of their HDTV's. Apple and Samsung incorporate Gorilla Glass too. LED screens are very fragile and can be expensive to replace that you'd probably be better
off buying a new TV.

 

^ Lies - the 'Best' Brand is Panasonic without any question, however they are generally too expensive so people choose the samsung as it has great quality at normally lower prices.

Been looking at this myself: Samsung UE65KS8000 for the front room and then the samsung UE49KU6470 for the games room

 

Saw a 4k 39" in JTF for £189.........Hmmmmmmm.

 

I would definitely get one with a screen and sound. Maybe a stand....an on/off switch would be advisable as well.

 

I think sony and samsung are more up-market and posher than panasonic.

 

We just recently got a 4K Vizio 55" and I'm surprised how beautiful it is for gaming as I typically stray from big screen gaming but I'm impressed. Some good 4K TV's out there for some steals.

Unless you've 100% researched the TV you want double check that the Samsung you are getting.

My mate last week got a Samsung 4K HDR 55 from Currys. Sales guy assured him that it supported HDR10. Got it home, set up his Xbox Slim, picked up 4K but no HDR10. He phoned Samsung directly and was told the that model didn't support HDR10 even after updates.

Luckily Currys replaced it with a TV that supported HDR10 but was a lot of hassle packing the old TV up, waiting for the new one etc

I'd probably do it myself but I bet there's people looking to invest in a 4K after buying a Slim, rush out, see "4K & HDR on the sticker" and think all will be ok.
