  1. Benchmark stats keep changing on their own why?

Hi, I have now set and re-set my benchmark stats, as every time I set them then go for a rivals race, they are never the same as when I set them when I go back in to tune up, anyone know why? does this mean I am not racing with them stats and in fact racing
with stats that forza is choosing for me? I am loosing 2/3 feet in breaking distance, cheers

    :)

  2. To all Elite premium members - Four months on.

Halo set the benchmark for online stats and community interacting....and never felt the need to charge for that service (ok you could pay more for more video save slots on their servers)

Xbox One manual network settings changing on their own

Port 3074 is the problem port because you can't forward it to both the xbox one and the xbox 360 at the same time.

If you have also a 360 and your router has bad UPnP support then you will have NAT problems that can't be fixed by port forwarding.

Microsoft have made a big mistake by requiring port 3074 for the xbox one. It was common sense that it would cause problems for some people who own both consoles so I can't understand why they did this.

It's really odd that they are changing - I've never noticed that before.

However, benchmark stats are only a guide. You shouldn't base your tunes on those stats - you need to base your tunes on your test driving of the car.

  5. Thing is Crunch it is a guide that allows you to get to the point of fine tuning, I had a brilliant set up yesterday took me 4 days with one click here one click there. I was consistently getting under 21 seconds broke the 450 leader board, got on it today
all benchmarks messed and slides messed up, now not able to get same set up and not able to break 22 seconds, a bit weird no?

  6. Not achieving the same results one day as you did the previous day is not odd at all. No one is perfectly consistent and some days you're going to be better than others.

If you want to prove this for yourself - spend some time doing the Spec Rivals events (the ones that use stock builds with no upgrades or tunes). In these races the cars will always handle the same but I'll bet you'll find that some days you're simply a
bit faster or slower than others. I also suspect that you'll find you get faster over time in any one session. Part of that is finding your "groove" which might take a few laps. Part of that is also gaining consistency over the course of repeated practice.

Benchmark stats should only be used as a very loose guide. These stats are generally unreliable. The benchmark stats don't take into account a specific track and specific conditions so you won't truly know how your tune is going to perform on one track versus
another just based on the benchmark stats alone. To really get the best tune you need to test drive on the track you're building for and evaluate the build/tune based on actually running it around the track.

is dashboarding just another form of boosting?

I never understand why with all these stats, they never implemented a DNF. (Did not finish). In my mind, stats don't mean a whole bunch. I appreciate that I have a solid w/l, but could care less about the rest. I don't begrudge others their stats obsession
though, there was a time I probably cared too.

But any stat is meaningless if you exclude data. And if you dashboard, that's what you're doing. The people that dashboard to maintain a stat, may eventually realize the stat shown isn't what they've earned. Even if they don't, then implementing a DNF
statistic to show alongside the w/l, and k/d stats will add legitimacy to those whom the stats really matter, and positively influence the entire community, reducing the number of matches that get dropped when stat minded hosts dashboard.

You could also implement a sudo penalty system based on this stat. Say if you have a DNF% above 10% or 15% (some benchmark), then if you disconnect mid-match, you are disallowed from matchmaking for 20 minutes.
