    Belkin: Xbox 360 Connection and Update Errors


    Belkin (Routers): Xbox 360 Connection and Update Errors
    Xbox 360 will not connect to Xbox live, but is connecting to the internet. I'm assuming because it's not updated. It has the 2.0.17150 version at the moment. Tried to update via USB, and it extracted the update but did not finish the update. Tried a few
    different updates but none would finish properly. Got an error screen with the Status Code: 42FE-43C5-1600-267F-C000-0185

    I understand there are many error codes as I have gotten a few different ones from trying all other options.

    Router is a Belkin F9K1010v2 but there was no forum for it so I chose the one that was as close as possible.

    Just want the Xbox to function normally again.

    I have tried a wired connection, clearing the cache, and rolling back an update.

    no. Closed

    I no longer get any error codes.

    Hello Cassie,

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention. In order for the update to start installing, you would need to be connected to a network. This sounds like your Xbox 360 is having issues connecting to your network, so it is asking you to check your network
    connection for any possible errors/messages.

    Yeah I had that same problem with my Belkin router too I think it might be the Belkin router I just simply bought a new router try connecting your xbox 360 to your cable modem instead of the router
