    How to Find SSID (Network Name)

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    4. Click Login in the upper right.
    5. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    6. Select Channel and SSID from the menu on the left under the Wireless section.
    7. The SSID will be listed on this page.

    How to Find Wireless Password (WPA/WEP)

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    4. Click Login in the upper right.
    5. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    6. Select Security from the menu on the left under the Wireless section.
    7. Uncheck the box labeled "Obscure PSK" to make the Wireless Password visible.
    Changing Wireless Security Type/Disabling

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    4. Click Login in the upper right.
    5. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    6. Select Security from the menu on the left under the Wireless section.
    7. To change or disable the Wireless Security, select the desired Security Mode from the dropdown (Disabled, WPA/WPA2-Personal(PSK), 128-bit WEP or 64-bit WEP).
    8. If WPA/WPA2-Personal(PSK) is selected, choose the Authentication (WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK or WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK) and Encryption Technique (TKIP or AES). WPA2-PSK with AES is recommended.
    9. Enter the Pre-Shared Key or WEP Key.
    10. If WEP security is selected the password will need to be 10 characters in length (if 64-bit) or 26 characters in length (if 128-bit) and can only use 0-9 and A-F.
    11. If WPA or WPA2 was selected the password can be between 8-63 characters, is case sensitive and can use any character on your keyboard.
    12. Once the passphrase has been entered select Apply Changes at the bottom of the page.
    MAC Filtering

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    4. Click Login in the upper right.
    5. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    6. Select MAC Address Filtering from the menu on the left under the Firewall section.
    7. Uncheck the "Enable MAC Address Filtering" box.
    8. Select Apply Changes at the bottom of the page.
    Changing the Wireless Channel

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    4. Click Login in the upper right.
    5. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    6. Select Channel and SSID from the menu on the left under the Wireless section.
    7. From the dropdown menu labeled Wireless Channel select the desired channel. (Channels 1,3,9,11)
    8. Select Apply Changes at the bottom of the page.
    Changing Wireless Mode

    DHCP Reservation

    UPnP

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    3. Click Login in the upper right.
    4. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    5. Select System Settings from the menu on the left under the Administration section.
    6. Select Enable or Disable under "UPnP Enabling".
    7. Select Apply Changes at the bottom of the page.
    DMZ

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    3. Click Login in the upper right.
    4. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    5. Select DMZ from the menu on the left under the Firewall section.
    6. Check the box below Enable.
    7. Enter the IP Address of the Xbox.
    8. Select Apply Changes at the bottom of the page.
    Disable DMZ

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    3. Click Login in the upper right.
    4. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    5. Select DMZ from the menu on the left under the Firewall section.
    6. Uncheck the box below Enable.
    7. Select Apply Changes at the bottom of the page.
    Port Forwarding

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    3. Click Login in the upper right.
    4. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    5. Select "Virtual Servers" from the menu on the left under the Firewall section.
    6. On the first available row check the box for Enable.
    7. Under Description, enter Xbox1.
    8. Under Inbound Port, enter 3074 for both fields.
    9. Under Type, select BOTH.
    10. Under Private IP Address, enter the IP Address of the Xbox.
    11. Under Private Port, enter in 3074 for both fields.
    12. Select Apply Changes at the top of the page.
    Disable Port Forwarding

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    3. Click Login in the upper right.
    4. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    5. Select "Virtual Servers" from the menu on the left under the Firewall section.
    6. Uncheck Enable on the row labeled Xbox1.
    7. Select Apply Changes at the top of the page.
    Firewall

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    3. Click Login in the upper right.
    4. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    5. Select Firewall from the menu on the left.
    6. Select Disable next to "Firewall Enable/Disable".
    7. Select Apply Changes at the bottom of the page.
    How to Find Firmware Version

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    3. Click Login in the upper right.
    4. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    5. Select Home from the menu at the top.
    6. The Firmware Version will be listed on this page under the Version Info section.
    Firmware Update

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
      *Wired is recommended*
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    4. Click Login in the upper right.
    5. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    6. Select Firmware Update from the menu on the left under the Utilities section.
    7. The firmware version should be listed near the top of this page.
    8. Open another tab in the web browser.
    9. Go to www.belkin.com.
    10. Scroll down and click on Support.
    11. Enter the model number of your device in the search box.
    12. Scroll down to the "Downloads" section under the search results.
    13. Click the link with the model number of your device labeled Firmware Update.
    14. Locate the version of the router you have and click where is says download to download the latest version of the firmware.
    15. Be sure to save the file to a place that is easy to locate such as the desktop or downloads.
    16. Return to the original browser tab that you opened the router's GUI page in.
    17. If the versions do not match you will need to update now.
    18. Click on browse.
    19. Find the firmware bin file from the location that you saved it and click open.
    20. Click Update and let the software install without interruption.
    Restore Factory Defaults

    Through Firmware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser.
    3. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    4. Click Login in the upper right.
    5. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    6. Select Restore Factory Default from the menu on the left under the Utilities section.
    7. Click the Restore Defaults button.
    Through Hardware

    1. Plug the computer into a LAN port via an Ethernet cable.
    2. Locate the reset button on the device.
    3. With paperclip/pen/toothpick hold down the reset button down for 30 seconds.
    4. Wait for lights to turn off then return to normal.
    Entering PPPoE

    1. Open a web browser.
    2. In the address bar at the top, type in 192.168.2.1
    3. Click Login in the upper right.
    4. Input the password and click Login (by default, the password should be left blank).
    5. Select Connection Type from the menu on the left under the Internet WAN section.
    6. Select PPPoE and click Next.
    7. Enter the PPPoE Username and Password.
    8. Select Apply Changes at the bottom of the page.
    Multiple Console Support

    We have confirmed that this network device is unable to support more than one console with an Open NAT.

    How to Find SSID (Network Name)



    1. Connect a computer to the gateway using an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    4. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    5. On the left hand side click on “Channel and SSID”
    6. On the next page, you will see a SSID box; this will have your current SSID (Wireless network name).




    How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)



    1. Connect a computer to the gateway using an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    4. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    5. On the left hand side click on “Encryption”
    6. Encryption is disabled by default, but if a password has been setup it will be located here.




    Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security



    1. Connect a computer to the gateway using an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    4. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    5. On the left hand side click on “Encryption”
    6. Encryption is disabled by default; you can select either a 64bit or 128bit WEP mode.
    7. Once you have selected the desired encryption type, create a password.
    8. Click on the “Apply Changes”




    MAC Filtering



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    4. On the left hand side, under “Firewall” settings, click on “MAC address filtering”
    5. Check the “Enable MAC Address Filtering” option.
    6. Add a MAC address from a device network into the “MAC Address” box.
    7. Click the “Add” button.
    8. Click on “Apply Changes”


    Disable MAC Filtering



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    4. On the left hand side under “Firewall” settings, click on “MAC address filtering”
    5. Uncheck the “Enable MAC Address Filtering” option.
    6. Click on “Apply Changes”






    Change Wireless Channel

    DMZ



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    4. On the left hand side, under “Firewall” settings, click on “DMZ”
    5. Type in the Xbox’s current IP address in the “Private IP” box.
    6. Check the “Enable” box.
    7. Click on “Apply Changes”


    Disable DMZ



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    4. On the left hand side, under “Firewall” settings, click on “DMZ”
    5. Delete the “Private IP”
    6. Uncheck the “Enable” box.
    7. Click on “Apply Changes”




    Port Forwarding



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    4. On the left hand side, under “Firewall” settings, click on “Virtual Servers”
    5. Check the “Enable” box.
    6. In the “Description” box type in “Xbox live”
    7. In the two “Inbound port” type in “3074”
    8. For the “type” change to “both”
    9. Type in the Xbox’s current IP address in the “Private IP” box.
    10. In the “Private port” boxes type in “3074”
    11. Click on “Apply Changes”




    Disable Port Forwarding



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    4. On the left hand side, under “Firewall” settings, click on “Virtual Servers”
    5. Uncheck the “Enable” box.
    6. Click on “Apply Changes”




    Firewall



    This device has firewall settings but none that apply to the Xbox.







    How to Find Firmware Version



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    4. Currently you will be logged into the “Status” page.
    5. Under the “Version Info” the current Firmware version will be shown.


    Firmware Update



    Note: You will need to download the firmware from the ISP website or the manufacturer’s webpage.



    1. Connect a computer to the gateway using an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    4. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    5. On the left hand side, under “Utilities” settings, click on “Firmware Update”
    6. You can check for a new firmware version by clicking on “Check Firmware”
    7. Follow in instruction for the firmware update.
    8. If you have downloaded an update, click on the “Browse” button.
    9. Locate the firmware update from your computer.
    10. Select the file.
    11. Click on “Apply Changes”




    Restore Factory Defaults



    From Hardware:

    1. Locate the back of the device, where the Ethernet ports are located.
    2. Hold the reset button on the back for 30 seconds. You will need a paperclip, toothpick or pen to hold down the reset button.
    3. Let go of the reset button and wait about 1 min for the device to reboot.


    From Firmware:

    1. Connect a computer to the gateway using an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    4. Click on “Submit” when prompted for a password.
    5. On the left hand side, under “Utilities” settings, click on “Restore Factory Defaults”
    6. Click on the “Restore Defaults” button.
    7. A warning message will appear on screen asking if you want to do this? Click “Ok”
    8. Wait about 1 min for the device to reboot.

    7. The current wireless network name is located next to “SSID”




    How To Find Wireless Passphrase (WPA/WEP)



    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    4. Click on “Submit” to login, there is no default password.
    5. Click on the “Initial Setup” on the left hand side.
    6. Under “Wireless” click on the “Encryption” option on the left hand side.
    7. This will give you a list of WEP encryption options.
    8. Currently only WEP is available for this device. Choose a WEP option.
    9. If you select the “Manual” option then you will have to type in a password.
    10. If you select the “Automatic” option then it will create a password for you.
    11. Click the “Enter” button to save changes.




    Changing Wireless Security Type/ Disabling Wireless Security



    1. Connect a computer to the gateway with an Ethernet cable.
    2. Open a web browser on a computer.
    3. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    4. Click on “Submit” to login, there is no default password.
    5. Click on the “Initial Setup” on the left hand side.
    6. Under “Wireless” click on the “Encryption” option on the left hand side.
    7. Click the “Disabled” option to turn off the security.
    8. Click the “Enter” button to save changes.




    MAC Filtering



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” to login, there is no default password.
    4. Click on the “Initial Setup” on the left hand side.
    5. Under “Services” click on the “MAC Filtering” option on the left hand side.
    6. Check the “Enabled” box.
    7. Check the “Connection Control” box.
    8. Change the “Allow” dropdown to “Deny”
    9. Skip the “Association Control” option.
    10. Add the MAC address from your network connecting to the Belkin in the “MAC Address” list
    11. Click the “Enter” button to save changes.


    Disable MAC Filtering



    1. Open a web browser on a computer.
    2. Type the address “192.168.2.1” into the web address bar.
    3. Click on “Submit” to login, there is no default password.
    4. Click on the “Initial Setup” on the left hand side.
    5. Under “Services” click on the “MAC Filtering” option on the left hand side.
    6. Uncheck the “Enabled” box.
    7. Click the “Enter” button to save changes.

    6. Type in the Xbox’s current IP address in the box provided.
    7. Click on “Enter” button to save changes.


    Disable DMZ

    3. Click on “Submit” to login, there is no default password.
    4. Click on the “Initial Setup” on the left hand side.

    6. Delete the Xbox’s current IP address in the box provided.
    7. Click on “Enter” button to save changes.

    10. Click on “Enter” button to save changes.




    Disable Port Forwarding

    6. Remove the Xbox’s current IP address from the “Private IP” first and second box.
    7. Click on “Enter” button to save changes.
