Being threatened to be banned off xbox live

So I was threatened to be banned by someone on Xbox Live. I know most people with these threats are full of it but is there a slight possibility for this to happen or someone to be experienced enough to do it?. I read somewhere about people using ban tools. Please
only answer if you are absolutely positive. Also, if I was banned by a hacker and I told the enforcement team about it, would they be able to lift the ban or would they not even know that I was hacked? For example they might think that I was banned by a member
of enforcement because if a hacker bans me, there would be an automated reason for the ban and the enforcement team would look at it and think I have done something wrong and that I was banned by other enforcement members. Anyway, this post stands as evidence
that if I do get banned, I was hacked.

please do not bump old threads but yes somebody can hit your entire internet offline it is called a DDoS if that happens just reset your modem and router by unplugging both for a few minutes then plug em back in if still have issues contact your ISP.

 

The enforcement team are the only ones who have the ability to ban players. If anyone did have these "ban tools" they would have already used them instead of threatening you. So unless you've actually done something to violate the terms, you have nothing
to worry about.

 

I just checked and they exist. Apparently they just download it and click a button. Well If I do get banned, will this stand as evidence?

 

What make you think this is real? My searches all lead to a you tube video that has been removed. I can't be 100% sure but my guess is this is some kind of scam or malware/virus/trojan. It appears to want you to download and execute an exe file which
is dangerous in its own right. I am sure if this was something that was widely available it would be all over the forums and internet and I have seen nothing to indicate that. Game responsibly and I am sure you will be okay. Happy Gaming!

 

After looking around more, I have found a lot of posts and comments about people who were banned after being threatened. I understand that some people have been banned for a reason and are just trying to make excuses but there are way too many of them out
there.

 

Well if it actually does exist I suppose there is no defense except to report it to the proper group. However, as I said I fill if something like that was going on these forums would be on fire but I could be wrong. Don't stress out about it. Happy Gaming!

 

Indeed, but I have two worries if this were to happen; firstly, this process may be irreversible and second, even if this was reversible, enforcement might think I have actually done something wrong and won't reverse it.

 

I am sure if anything like this exists they are aware of it and will have a method to find out whether or not they did the ban. All you can do is continue to play and enjoy yourself and don't do anything that will get you band by the enforcement group.

 

Ok well I have reported this person so if he does get suspended, he will know it is me that reported him. If he does ban me, I have a post here as evidence so that enforcement know I haven't done anything wrong.

You'll be fine mate, my good friend gets threats like this daily, he's a good online player and for some reason gets a lot of hate because of it. Honestly though, as the guys/gals above have said, you've got nothing to be worried about

 

If someone is threatening to ban you, report them, don't get involved otherwise they will report you, also block them.
