Being threaten lying and saying my phone number

Welcome to the internet, he could be lying but keep the voice message. Report him to Xbox and then call your local police (do not dial 9-1-1. Instead call your local police department or sheriff, their number is in your local phone book or online). This
is a serious threat and should be treated as such.

 

Can I get someone banned?

The best thing to do is to get through to Xbox Live on the free phone number, speak to technical support and then say 'other account questions'. Tell the person that answers that you want to speak to their supervisor, then tell them that your 'friend' has been threatening you etc... He will then ask for his Gamer tag, and will ban him for 1 day. Call back saying the same stuff 2 more times and he will be banned FOREVER.

It doesn't hurt to claimthat he was being discriminatory. They take it very seriously

 

Calling out gamertags is not allowed on the forums.

The only way to report someone is via your console,it can't be done on the forums.

If they have reported you & you have done nothing wrong then you will not get banned/suspended.

Question is,how did this person get hold of your personal info in the first place?

 

Take the proper steps and report this person on your console. Then Block and Mute this person.

Like above poster mentioned, if you've done nothing wrong then you've got nothing to worry about if they false report you.
