Being spammed with random messages

Hi,

I wondered if anyone could help? Recently for some unknown reason I've been getting multiple messages a day from new gamertags (no friends or GS) and no matter how many times I block and report I get another message the following day from a different gamertag
advertising the same site.

Quite frankly it's driving me up the wall now.

I get one telling me to get FIFA points (I don't even play FIFA ultimate team!!) from a website for cheap, the site is

and also another about entering a raffle to win an xbox one console on a website called

Where these spamming messages have come from I've no idea, but they're happening multiple times a day now and it's driving me mad. As I've said I don't play FIFA ultimate team nor add random people nor do I go on websites and enter my gamertag for one reason
or another, I just simply log on to play for fun between working and seeing friends.

Any help with this would be great.

I am getting them all you can do is report it and block them, but they will show up with another GT so you could be doing that non stop.

There's been a few threads about this. All you can do for now is block/report, as McShoop mentioned above. If someone's found a way to send automated messages over Live to spam people, hopefully MS will shut that loophole down soon. I've had a couple of
spam messages about FIFA myself and it's the first time I've had spam messages sent to me since I joined Xbox Live.

 

I get random ones about coins on fifa

 

Yep just keep blocking / reporting that's all you can do unfortunately there will be some out there that will fall for it !

 

Like Mr Boozyhead said, all you can do is keep blocking the messages as you receive them.

Mind you having said that, I know you can go into your settings and set it so you can only hear/talk to people on your friends list, don't know if this includes or there is an option to only receive messages from friends?

But your not the only one, there's been a few posts on the main XB1 forum over the last week with gamers reporting getting loads of spam messages, must be something in the air!

 

I keep having the same issue and so does many others on my friends list hopefully Microsoft can figure this crap out because it's quite annoying to get 20 messages in 1 day about the saferaffle.com site and not even be on your console the day it happens.

I usually get one or two a week about FIFA Coins, I just delete them right away.

 

Had a few myself,as the others have said,all you can do is block & report at the moment.

 

Wondering if these messages will ever end.

 

Microsoft should have an option where you can receive messages from friends only or recent players or from everybody then you can choose surely it wouldn't be too much hassle to sort it and add it in an update !!

I'm getting the same sh#t too. So far i've received 3 messages, all from different gamertags blabbering on about a site called saferaffle.

 

Its so annoying when you do block them more keep rolling in

 

Here's what to do.

Highlight the message and push the "Menu" button on your controller.

Then select "Delete" and hit the A button.

This deletes the message and it's not there anymore.

Then try and get on with the rest of your life.

It's hardly even worth posting about though as some have said above, you do have the option of reporting before you block.
