    Being made to rebuy add-ons I've already purchased in Minecraft 360 version.


    On my husband's account, we purchased the Steampunk texture pack (there were others but I didn't write them down) when it first came out (how many years now?). We share an Xbox so I know that I can still use the texture pack since it's saved onto the hard
    drive. Well, went to use it today and it said that I only have a trail version and need to purchase it. Ok. I then logged out of my account and logged into his thinking I may need to re-download it for some weird reason. Nope, it says I need to purchase it
    again. I went to the store via the game and through Xbox Home and I did see that some of the add-ons we purchased no longer had a check mark. I'm very livid. I'm not going to purchase something I already did. It's not like I bought it on a disc (duh), we saved
    it to our hard drive. I honestly don't know when this happened since I don't play very often. I was going to purchase some of the other packs I never got around to getting but if I'm going to have to keep buying it then I'm not going to waste my money anymore.
    Ok. Rant over.

    If anyone can help and figure out what might have happened and a way to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

    Problem via minecraft.

    I've buy the minecraft version for xbox 360 a while ago and recently i've came across an update and now i need to rebuy the game. Is there something i can do ? i don't really feel like buying the same game twice if you know what i mean ...

    Is there a way to transfer your add-ons from Minecraft: Xbox 360 edition to Minecraft: Xbox One Edition? I've seen people show it on Youtube videos. When I try it, I don't have the same option those people had.

    Hi there,

    as far as I know the Xbox 360 version and Xbox One version are considered being different games, so any add-on purchased on the 360 will not be something that is available on the Xbox One, since it's a different game in itself.

    I'm afraid any add-on needs to be purchased again.

    As side note, the 'Minecraft' game is already a newer version compared the Minecraft the Xbox One Edition that was available on release for the Xbox One.

    the win10 and the xbox one version of minecraft are two different games, if you want to use it on pc you'll have to rebuy it.

    Also having exact same problem.

    Apparently can no longer play minecraft without repurchasing it through game pass (which I've never once used), even though I purchased "Xbox One Edition" waaaaaaaay back when that was the version of minecraft we got. Have been playing the "new" version
    that's just "Minecraft" ever since and now can no longer unless I rebuy through game pass?

    Microsoft fix your stuff. This is ridiculous.

    Thank you for contacting the forums. Which version of Minecraft are you talking about buy add-ons from? There are 3 separate versions of Minecraft (Minecraft, Minecraft Xbox One Edition and Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition). I would recommend you to buy Xbox 360
    add-ons through the Xbox 360 marketplace if you specifically want add-ons on your son's Xbox 360.
