Being charged for Xbox live when I haven't touched the system in years

Okay a few years ago I used to play on Xbox live, however I eventually quit using the system for some reason and then I remember coming back to it at some point and not even being able to log on to my actual account. I Have no memory of ANY of the details
for that account but yet I am still being charged every month! I Have questioned the bank to cancel the membership but they say that I have to do it through Xbox's services, well if I have no memory of any of the details than how will I be able to cancel this
service?

Charged a year for gold

I haven't played my xbox much in the past year due to moving country. I haven't actually touched it or my old bank account for a long time due to not being in the country.

But I've just found that I've been charged for another year of gold live. My bank account is safe, I've been checking those records. My xbox is safe, my account has not been hacked either. I did not sign up for any "auto renewable" charges. So I can only
assume this is a screw up on Microsoft's behalf.

The support system on the xbox site is a labyrinth, is there a number I can call to get this sorted? Thanks for any help.

 

Unknowingly paying - Refund?

Just curious whether or not xBox Live could actually monitor/check into the Accounts to justify this.

Ie.,

I haven't unpacked my console since I've moved back in December. I've been charged since December - first charge being 1.13 - Last month I was charged 12 for Live, this Month was another 12.

I haven't renewed so why am I being charged this?

Why was nothing done other than turning off my renewal?

Think I deserve an apology, at least.

 

Also the account I am using now, this is one that I had to make when I tried to come back.

 

I have an answer to that

have a computer then heres the instructions

1. go on to xbox.com

2. put in your e-mail and password if you haven't put it in yet EG:______@_____.com

3.Then press on My account then you should find 4 options first click payment and billing so you can get rid of your card first but you may need to put in and confirm your email

4.then remove payment option

5.but if that dosen't work then listen to the next step

6. look on the website about turning off auto renewal

Yeah but the thing is, this account isn't the one being charged (sorry if I didn't make that clear) but it is actually the account that I have forgotten all information for :/

 

How is he going to do any of that if he has none of the account details??

Your bank must stop payment on any debits at your request,if they refuse to do so i would suggest moving banks.

In the meantime i suggest your phone support in your area to see what they can suggest,but without any of the account details they are going to struggle to help you.

You just now realized auto renewal is on???

Try posting in the support section or,

Give phone support a call for accout issues as as stated above.

Your bank can issue a chargeback if needed.

Seeing as this is a billing related issue, I would go ahead and call up phone support as suggested above. Speaking with the billing team would be the best way forward with this, however you would have to prove you have ownership of the account so there will
be some questions you would need to answer with them.
