    Being asked to purchase Minecraft java again.


    I haven't logged into this account in a while and about 2-3 months ago i tried to log in and is telling me i do not have JAVA and need to purchase it. I have contacted Mojang support, and they are saying that username is not in their database. i have the email from when i purchased the account and email from when I migrated the account.

    I can't seem to get microsoft store to process purchases even though it has all the correct information.

    I apologize for the trouble. I just want to clarify, you purchased Minecraft through Minecraft.net, and now that you wanted to install the game it is asking you to purchase the game again?

    If that's correct, may I ask what Minecraft game you purchased? Is it Minecraft for Windows or Minecraft Java Edition?

    Minecraft Java Edition can be purchased from thier store page using your Microsoft Account:

    https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition

    And then being accessed with the (free) Minecraft Launcher on the Microsoft Store.

    Both Windows and Java Editions are included with Xbox Game Pass for PC/Ultimate subscription.

    May I know if you purchased Minecraft for Windows or Minecraft Java Edition? I ask because the Minecraft game is platform specific. If you purchased Minecraft Pocket Edition (the tablet version), you cannot play it on computer or console. The same applies to other versions.

    Now if you purchased Minecraft for Windows or Java Edition and are not being able to play them, please let me know so I can troubleshoot this issue for you.

    Just a friendly reminder though that the license of Minecraft on Xbox and PC is different, which means that if you would like to play the game on your PC, you will be needing to purchase the correct version which is Minecraft Bedrock for Windows or Minecraft Java Edition, will depend on you.
