Be sure to make sure you're signed in to the account that you made the purchase on, Check the order history on your account to make sure the purchase is listed and lastly remove the account from the console and add it again. Hope this was helpful and if

Be sure to use the same account used to purchase the game. Try checking the
order history if the purchase is actually linked to the account. If everything works, try deleting the profile from the console and re-download it again.

Would you please try the following solutions below:

• Remove your account and add it back again.
  
• Restart your device (If you are using a PC/ Windows 10) / Preform a power cycle (If you are using an Xbox console).
  

However, If the issue persists and you are using an Xbox console, please try preforming a Soft Factory Rest Xbox Support by selecting Reset and keep my games & apps. It will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

I have tried this already and it does not work.

The problem is that when Iog into microsoft and look at my owned games, it appears that my microsoft account does not own minecraft java edition and only owns the bedrock edition, even though i've been playing Java edition on it daily up till now.
