    Being added as friend when I don't want it


    I'm fairly new to Xbox Live, although I've owned an Xbox for a number of years, but something is bugging me that I can't find an answer on how to do it.

    The last few weeks I've noticed that a couple people have either added me as friend or started to follow me without my knowledge or (more importantly) without my approval.

    My question is how do I prevent this from happening or at the very least notify me that someone is requesting to add me so I can decide to allow it.

    What I don't get is when you follow someone it shows them as being you're friend even though they possibly haven't added you as a friend. You are just a follower to them. To me there should be 3 categories. Friends, Followers and Following.

    I like watching the leader boards between myself and my friends but that's about the extent of it. But, I don't mind that they are there, I don't mind anything that's there as long as I'm not forced to look at or do what's being added. Being added as friend when I don't want it :)

    Do we really need the ability to have a thousand friends?





    I'd rather know when people I actually play games with log in rather than having the Facebook friend collector mentality of adding people you don't talk to or game with.
