Beginning to wish I never bought an Xbox One

I waited nearly a year after release so I'd miss the usual problems they have to start with. Had an Xbox One for nearly 2 weeks now and nothing but problems. Friends list not working, profile not loading, party problems, Destiny constantly disconnecting
me. Been trying to do a raid for a week or so on Destiny but whenever I join a randoms party my Xbox Live connection goes crazy and constantly disconnects me from parties and Destiny server. they also have the cheek to charge me for this service. I WANT A
*** REFUND.

Currently all mine is used for is watching dvds and blu ray movies. This will change starting September onwards. Currently the Xbox 360 holds the game playing mantle.

To any of those who do regret their purchase of the Xbox One, remember you can always on-sell or trade towards a different console instead of whining about it, just a friendly fyi, haha.

Also what's with taking so long to invite/join friends? I don't know what Microsoft were thinking other than a not so cunning plan to make us look at shiity adverts everytime we wanna play with others. *** idiots.

 

What are you gonna do? Go to PlayStation? Their service sucks too. Unfortunately, we are all stuck between a rock and a hard place.

 

The Destiny problem is a compatibility issue with your router and it effects some ps4 owners as well as the game uses the same demonware port mapping on both consoles.

If you want help with that then post the make and model of your router and someone may be able to help.

There is currently a status alert about friends list not working meaning they know about it and are fixing it. Go to www.xbox.com/status for status updates.

Other party issues you may be having that are not related to destiny will again be your router so again post make and model and someone with knowledge of that router may be able to help.

It depends what type of connection you have.

ADSL, DSL, Fibre etc and whether you need a combined modem/router or just a router.

If you still post the make and model of your router it will give people an idea of what type you need.

Whatever you do before buying anything it's best to check the network hardware forums to make sure any router you want to buy works without problems. In particular you should make sure a router is confirmed to have multi-console support especially if you
also own a 360. Even you don't own a 360 choosing a router with multi-console support will mean it will have decent UPnP support meaning less likely of having problems with Destiny.
