Before I buy Havoc

Before I plunk down any money for the Havoc download, does anyone know for sure that it will work (in it's entirety) across all profiles on one Xbox One console?

Weapon DLC

Hello, I Don't think you can buy just the weapon, you have to buy the Havoc DLC to get the AE4 Widowmaker.

 

Before I buy

Since HDD replacement is actually allowed by microsoft and is an external thing . AKA not requiring opening up the console then no it will NOT void your warranty.

 

Regarding Havoc, the 4 multiplayer and survival maps as well as the Exo Zombies map Outbreak should work with any profile on your Xbox One provided that the console is your home console. The AE4 can only be used online as I cannot select it in local or system
link so I'm not sure if that weapon can be used by other profiles signed into your home console as the weapon is likely tied to the gamertag(s) that brought the map pack. The Widowmaker variation of the AE4 is season pass holders only.

Regarding the maps, they feel small so if you like close quarters combat, these are your maps. Outbreak is the zombies map for the Havoc map pack and it feels similar to Treyarch's zombies mode in that everyone starts out with 500 points and a pistol, perks
that are turned on via generators which function like quick revive(exo medic); juggernog(exo health); and speed cola(exo reload) as well as exo slam, doors to buy, 3D printer which generates the weapon that the printer is on which is similar to the mystery
box, dog rounds that give full ammo, powerups that are similar to Treyarch's powerups with the addition of the security powerup, and an easter egg for an achievement. The new things are EMP and exploding zombies, exo suits, and poison zombie rounds that give
out ammo and the ability to upgrade weapons up to level 20 which replaces the Pack-a-Punch machine.

 

The Widowmaker best be available as it's in the description of the DLC packet.

im trying to sign into xbox but it wont work

 

I can't confirm it won't work, but I can confirm it doesn't work across all the profiles on MY xbox. I let it download last night while I slept because my girlfriend and I both had the day off and were going to play some multiplayer, and when I logged her
in I noticed she didn't have the new weapon. I checked it out some more and it said that she had owned the dlc, but had to download it.

i already have it downloaded and it works fine from my profile, so I can at least say that in my case no, it does not work across all profiles on a console. She is set up as part of my family, and my console is set up to be my home xbox. There's no reason
it shouldn't work, because she plays Killer Instinct with her profile and is able to use all the characters I bought on my console, so I know content does share between our profiles perfectly fine in other cases.

I just talked to support and they said that a server-side patch is updating now, and should be live in an hour or two and fix the problem. I'm not quite sure if it will help honestly, but I've done a fair amouont of troubleshooting with no luck. I've deleted
the content and reinstalled it, I've removed her profile from my console and reinstalled that, and I'm currently deleting and reinstalling the entire game as a last resort since we can't play together currently anyway.

I'll update this post tomorrow morning if they fix it, but as of right now - if you are going to buy this hoping that you'll be able to play spilt screen with another player without having to sign them in as a guest, I would hold off because I kind of feel
like I wasted money on content for my girlfriend and I because we can't really play together without one of us having to sign out.

 

UPDATE: The "patch" that I was told to wait for didn't do anything. Nothing has changed, although I have noticed something weird, and it doesn't look good.

My girlfriends account still doesn't have the weapon. When I go to create a class and find it at the top of the assault rifles list, it has the inverted arrow to imply DLC. I click it, and then click on the havoc dlc as opposed to the season pass option.
When I do, (and this is all on her account, btw) it says that she owns the content, but need to download it in her "games and apps collection."

This is all the same as it was when I explained it last night, BUT now I've realized that she can get in the Havoc playlist as well as zombies mode. This doesn't quite fix the problem, as the reason I bought it was so SHE could have the gun on HER account,
since she plays multiplayer more than I do. Regardless, ALL content was supposed to transfer to ALL my family profiles, and part of it is malfunctioning.

But yeah, anyway the zombies content seems to work as well as her access to the maps, but the AE4, which was the selling point for her (and me since I'm the one who spent the money) is still not working. I'm going to call Xbox (and possibly activision) this
afternoon, I'll update this again when I find out more.

 

I have just tested myself using a spare silver account while my account was signed out.

Both the Havoc maps as well as the AE4 are working fine.

Just make sure you have set the console as the home console in the xbox settings app.

 

I'm glad that happens to be the case for you Malacath, but the fix isn't that simple. As I said, I've had my console set to be my home console the entire time. The problem isn't with other profiles not "owning" the content, it's a glitch that says you need
to "download" the content, even though it's already on your console.

I do appreciate you taking the time to test it out on your own console, and frankly I'm jealous that it works, but it's not I can't "just maker sure" it's set to home console, because it's been set as my home console for months.
