i use my xbox everyday but i use headphones this stops me from annoying the wife while shes in bed, i dont even need them on my ears while on dashboard but it blocks the sounds perfectly.

i got my xoones off amazon £40 brand new a few years ago now. lots out there at some great prices. black friday coming up...why not grab yourself a bargain

To be completely honest, I don't mind the dashboard noises at all. It helps me make sure my volume/audio is set correctly before launching a game or hopping into a party! Granted, I do see your point and frustration with not having the option available
whatsoever.

Gotta tell ya, if I don't hear some sound whilst navigating in Home or Edge I know something is not quite right and the console needs a refresh.

Seems a bit extreme to throw hundreds of pounds or electronics in the bin because the dashboard makes a noise. Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy some headphones for whomever is playing? You could also turn down the volume on the TV.

this is unbelievable why in the world is there no option to mute the sound output of the dashboard not only is it an obtrusive sound moving around the dashboard but it so annoying every single other device has included this ability android turn
off keyboard key clicks playstation turn off system sounds etc etc on and on its such an oversight on the devlopers part i just cant imagine how this is not available this is not new software there have been a meny revisions do is there just a lack of care
because when i searched this topic it seemed there were quite a few topics on this with no response solution imagine trying to sleep when somebody is in the other room scrolling around the dashboard for 20 minutes you'd want to bang your head off the wall

I have a solution, its really quite simple.

1: STOP PLAYING THE DASHBOARD GAME.

All of the game I play don't include clicks every time I press a button, and I'm sure the games you play don't.

If you cant stop playing the dashboard game then your only solution is to "toss the thing in the garbage" and buy a PlayStation, they will love you over there.
