Beeping sound when I plug in earphones in my xbox one controller

Hi everyone,

Whenever I plug in my Apply earphones on my controller I hear this beeping sound. The people in my party also hears this beeping sound. They cant hear it when I mute my mic but I still can. I know for a fact that my earphones mic is working because it doesnt
beep when I use it on my phone. Does this mean that my controller is broken?

This is an error until common generally, sometimes some headphones do not work on the controllers, either your handset is not compatible with the controller, or the headset itself may not be adaptable to your controller, try using another handset, or update
your controller, if nothing resolves, try contacting xbox support.

Okay well why is it when i plug in my wired earphones and i only get a static noise from my xbox 360 controller? :/

The controllers is upto date i have tried power cycling it says my mic is plugged it seems there is no power going to the headset no beeping sound when volume is maxed out, it makes no sense when the chat adaptor gets power

If you have an older controller then the Adaptor will allow you to use your apple earphones.

If you have a new controller, you don't need the adaptor. They'll plug straight in.

Apple's earphones are standard earphones with a standard jack.

The earphones from your Sony Walkman from 1986 will work.
