Beeping Sound on One S Controller

Hey guys,

I just got my Xbox for Christmas. I have only used it a couple of times, but I am noticing that my controller is making a high pitched beeping sound whenever it vibrates. All the controls work fine, but I just can’t seem to ignore it; it’s especially annoying
when you’re trying to play in a low volume setting. Anyone else have this problem before? I want to try and fix it myself before having to go and get it replaced.

Xbox one headset making beeping sounds?

I have my headset connected to my controller but it keeps making a beeping sound? and there is two red flashing light on the top of the controller??

xbox one s controller problems with windows 10

after the xbox one s controller lost connect with my computer my computer will star beeping the mouse is useless and i can't turn off my computer

Hi

Apart from the rumble/force feedback motors in the controller there is noting that can or should make any sound, Can you try launching the Xbox Accessories app on your console and then disable controller vibrations to see if this stops the noise. Also please
be aware that the console itself by default is set to chime when you switch it on/off and eject a disc and you might be hearing this noise.

If disabling the vibrations does stop the high pitch noise then the controller will need to be
sent for repair please note it is not advisable to attempt repairs of the controller yourself as this will void any warranty on it.

Mobile (cell) phones can cause interference to the wireless signal from the controller, giving a beeping sound. Just make sure there are no cell phones near to the console or controller.

If your pressing up and you're not hearing a beep sound, then it sounds like it could be that the headset is faulty, but seen as you've mentioned that you've tried multiple headsets, then I can only assume its the controllers mic port that is faulty. try
a friends controller to confirm its the controller.

Hi, this problem usually happens when there is some sort of disconnect from the XBOX 360's motherboard and the sound connector on the touch panel of the console which makes the "beep-beep" sound. The only way to fix this if you really care about the sound
that much would be to get the console repaired since opening the console yourself would cause you to void any sort of warranty or future repair chances from Microsoft.

Hello Callidus F! I'm Kris and I'd be happy to help you with your question.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Series S. Sounds like you have already done a lot of triage to get it working. Have you tried forcing it into Low Res Mode to see if that works? I have put the procedure below.

Press and hold the Power button and the Pair button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You'll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start-up in low resolution mode (the Xbox start-up screen will appear slightly pixelated).

If that doesn't work, sounds like the console needs a service.
