Redeeming a 14 day Gold trial...

That is exactly what I have been trying to do and it won't let me. It keeps telling me "You need an Xbox LIVE Gold Membership to play multiplayer games online. Would you like to become a Gold member today?"

 

Family Gold acct question...

Yes. They will lose Gold status and privileges and become an Xbox LIVE Free member.

 

If it can actually be used on both the 360, and X1 It's a good deal. But my question would be. Do you have to have the 360 connected through the X1? Or could you place the 360 in another room and play say COD via XBLG, while a family member uses plays say
Titanfall MP online?

 

MS needed to push Live, not everyone fully understands how useful Live really is, when they announced Games with Gold for the X1 i was talking with a co-worker that has a 360 and X1 about it, and he looked at me like i was crazy, he had no idea that MS was
giving away games even though they started at last E3.

i haven't really been enjoying the matchmaking, it often left me wondering what it was doing, and they should have brought up the higher fidelity in audio chat.

 

Really pushing it? I thought MS had somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 million subscribers?

it should be pushed for people that the X1 is their first Xbox console, or people that don't keep up with the news and the changes to Live.

 

24, you're right, but you'd be surprised at how uneducated many of those subscribers are. As ZD put it, many subscribers don't even know they can get games for free. My brother is a good example. He's been a Gold subscriber for 3 years now and didn't know
he could get free games since last year until I told him last week. Another example is a friend of mine who knew about it, but didn't take advantage of it because he said he didn't have enough space for the games. What he failed to realize though was that
he could still "purchase" the game for free so he could download and play it later when he does have the space available. People aren't getting their money's worth due to their own ignorance. This push will help alleviate some of that ignorance while also
enticing new subscribers to join the fold.

If I didn't already have it, it probably wouldn't sell me to be honest either. All of that gold color palette just turns me off...

 

Strange,Microsoft didn't advertise,the new Gold policy : Less apps under Gold,rent games with Gold....

"Get more with Gold".....Not so sure.

 

That's harsh Tzar. How are you getting less? With a Gold subscription you have access to more apps than you would with a Silver account and as for the whole "renting" aspect, that's highly debatable.

 

But from the last Gold policy,i got less,now.

 

Policies always change with the times, mate...

Besides, the policies that affect the Xbox One are not necessarily the same policies that affect the Xbox 360. They're 2 completely different products (not to mention one is newer than the other and is still finding its feet).
