Beats Solo3 incompatible as an Xbox One headset?

For quite a while, I've used a Jabra Revo Wireless headset, plugged in with its audio cable to my controller, as my headset. Game audio, chat, all that good stuff. It's worked great.

I just got a set of Beats Solo3, basically the same style of headset—bluetooth, but also has an optional, standard wired cable. But when I plug the Solo3 into my controller, I only get audio, the mic doesn't work. I know it works with other devices, so it
isn't the headset.

Any idea if there's some sort of incompatibility with the Beats Solo3? Or perhaps the cable, which otherwise looks like a standard 1/8"-to-1/8" headphone cable?

It's possible that the Beats Solo 3 headphones needs a converter to work with the Xbox One controller since it's an OMTP standard headset. You can take a look at the differences between the headset connectors

HERE. You should be able to to get this headset to work if you use an OMTP to CTIA converter, which you'll want to either reach out to Beats to see if they have a converter. Or you can check with a local cellphone/retailer to see if they have an adapter
that will work for you.
