Chat compatible cable for Beats headphones

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a headphone cable with a mic to allow me to use Beats headphones for chat?

Preferably something available from Amazon UK.

I don't think so. If it where that easy there would be no need for XBOX to package a headset or other companies to sell headsets (ex: Turtle Beach). I still could be wrong though.

Do you have a built in mic with your beats headphones?

I bought both a standard mic, as a replacement, and a mic adapter, to use with my Beats 2 headphones. Neither are working (standard mic before and after controller update as a result of the mic adapter) on two separate controllers.

Try different headphones. Some of 3,5mm jacks are made differently. That you are not able to use mic on Xbox. Like for my beats mic is not working, but on my earphones AKG I got to my samsung phone it is working.

Nope, I have found that the adapter won't work with this type of in-line mic. If you want to use those headphones with a mic, go here: v-moda.com/boompro-microphone. I bought this for my Beats studio and the mic works. It's another $30 but the quality
of the mic and cable are worth it in my opinion.
