    I have my Xbox SX arrived defective. It simply cannot launch games (freezing, crashing, etc.). The same setup works fine with my Xbox One.

    After hours of trouble shooting, together with online chat support, we decided it was a hardware failure.

    Apparently, the seller does not have any stock to replace it. Microsoft does not, either.

    The phone support guy offered a free repair in 14 businesses days, or a quick repair at a cost.

    PLEASE BE WARNED:

    If you are unlucky as me, received a bad console, then you have to wait another 3 weeks until you can have something that hopefully works. Not even mentioning the time I spent on ordering one and figuring out what's wrong.

    Do they replace a new one for you? No!

    Do they do cross-shipping so you wait less time? No!

    Do they waive the charges if you want the quick repair? No!

    Do they apologize for any inconvenience? No!

    Do they offer any kind of compensation, even a month of XGP? Of course No!

    All the answers I got was straight NO

    I'm utterly frustrated and disappointed. This is the worst purchase I've ever had so far.

    I do hope the other big name wins the whole market, so Xbox can learn how to take care of they long time costumers.

    Well no you usually goto your seller for replacement or ask for a refund

    Otherwise you will.have to.go thru the warranty proccess while does not give you a new console.you get.a brand new refurbished unit

    Unless if within the 30days then no you have to do a exchange or refund

    MS.wouldn't replace it with the new one because you got it thru a retailer as their money went to them not ms I hope.not a reseller

    Ms.gets.their money from.distributors.not.retailers.who them passes it.onto.retailers unless it's.ms.store

    Whichncase you will.have.to.wair for.the next.restock.in.the meantime refund it

    Unless you got it from a scalper then you are out of luck and have to go thru the warranty replacement proccess and get a refurb after 30days

    Thank you for the reply.

    The point is, without a replacement, it will another several months until one can buy a console again, with the current limited stock.

    At the end of the day, it is MS doing a poor job of quality control, and let defective devices reach the hand of consumers.

    In that case, if they cannot replace the defective product, they should repair it as soon as they can because the consumer has already suffered a time loss and a bad experience.

    However in reality, they don't. Not because they can't, but because they want to repair it with a cost if the consumer doesn't want to wait for 3 weeks. Although the cost is not a lot, the fact that a consumer who has bad luck buying a poor quality device, has to pay extra, wait extra, and get a refurbished device on a newly purchased machine. That's a huge customer service failure.

    The costumer is not even asking for any makeup (for example, the XGPU cost totally wasted during this repairing period), just repairing it in their fastest manner for free. But it turns out to be impossible. Sigh...

    Well technically you are still.within the 30day period you would.normally do a refund not a warranty

    Also as there is a world.wide shortage of consoles.I doubt they can warranty it due to lack of extra consoles

    I don't want a refund, I want to do an exchange even if I have to wait. The shortage isn't the issue that has never been mentioned.

    I bought it from Microsoft.com and have sent them the receipt and a pic of the serial number on the box.
