    Be careful updating controllers


    Just spent 30 minutes with support after my controller bricked due to a failed update. Now I'm being told that because the controller is out of warranty nothing can be done. Seems ridiculous to me. Anyone else have this issue? Poor choice by xbox not to
    take care of this issue. How can you blame me for your update failing let alone rendering a basically unused controller into trash. Thanks

    Who to contact for Day One Edition controller replacement?

    Be careful, however. I've heard of stories on here where people are receiving regular controllers in return for their Day One Editions...

    I haven't, but then I haven't updated either one of my
    DAY 23 controllers and strangely, both work fine.

    Out of warranty or no, MS should take full responsibility!

    Don't see why anyone does update their controller don't know what it does but they work fine without it
