Be aware of catfish online

There are tons of catfish on Xbox, male and female, targeting little kids to have a online romance and get cash or gift cards from them.

Parents should monitor their kids if they ever have suspicion action to ask for an increased amount of allowance and such.

If you are suspicious of someone that is cat fish on Xbox live you can post their Gamertag to let others know, so that the other parents will be aware.

Please don't ask people to post gamertags, because naming and shaming is against the forum rules.

Report those people instead, so the proper teams can act!

If anyone is suspicious, report the person! Do not post any GamerTags on forums.

 

You should never post someones GT. Its just asking for a whole lot of additional issues.

 

This is why I do not let my kids know their passwords and I have properly set up their accounts so they cannot just buy things and when they want to buy something, I get a notification asking for my permission. I then can see what they buy.

To avoid any issues like this, parents need to actually care and pay attention instead of just letting videogames babysit their kids.

 

Posting gamertags is against ToS, please dont ask others to break the rules and possibly get themselves banned. The proper response to anyone engaging in these acts is to report them so MS can take the appropriate actions.
