BD-R/RE supported but still won't read

finding out that BD-R support was allegedly included in the last update, I tried some of my Kickstarter reward Blu-Rays that didn't work previously. They do work on my old Blu-Ray player so I know they are functional. Is there something I'm missing?

I can confirm this. Cannot read BD-R but can read DVD-R

My guess is, the Blu-ray BD-R or BD-RE which is not supported by the Xbox One

The above quote is from the Xbox feedback website, about adding BD-R Blu-ray support however that does not guarantee BD-RE. it is however in progress at the moment and will be added as a future feature.

The error code I receive is 0x91d70000.

 

hi have the same problem here it needs another update to play bd-r but the ps4 played them from day one and 3d playback was around 2 weeks ago ,

Lame. Every company in the world can make a blu-ray player, but the largest software maker in the world can't figure out how to code this?

 

you say BD-R supported is " slated for a later update." so when is this update scheduled?
