Any idea when this will be updated with more titles?

December Backwards Compatibility List Update

Anyone know when we get the December BC update and the list of new BC games?

 

My backwards compatible games are being g updated?

they sometimes update the emulator settings for the bc games to run a bit smoother, updates are updates let them be.

 

Supposedly it willl out for everyone in the fall, but nothing about the actual titles has been released other than the ones already out for preview.

 

I have a question and im not trying to sound stupid. When the BC update comes out and we had 360 digital download games, will we be able to download those for the one??

 

^^ Yes. If you bought the game digitally, it will show up on the One to download it. If you have a disc, you will need to put the disc in to download it & play. (You will still need the disc in to play the game.)

 

Once your digital game is BC, it will show up in the ready to install column.

 

Any chance that ALL 360 games will be BC? I don't care about online support for them just the ability to play them.

 

^^ I highly doubt it. MS has stated it is up to the game's publisher to make them available. That, right there, would mean that any game made by THQ (example) would never be made available since they no longer exist as a company.

 

In the case of THQ games it would depend on those who currently own the rights to those titles, with Saints Row I think it is Koch Media.

While I doubt we'd see Saints 4 made backward compatible, you never know with the other three.

 

Why would they not make the newest one BC? I'd thinking the newer version would be more likely to be BC than older versions.

 

Why? Because the game already exists on the Xbox One and it actually cheaper if bought digitally.

 

People on YouTube are saying that new games are going to be added this week/month.

Ok, well you shouldn't have said "While I doubt we'd see Saints 4 made backward compatible..." then, because of course they won't make a game that is already present gen BC. The solution for games like that is far easier than making them BC, have people
that bought it on 360 download the X1 version for free. Same result as making a game BC with almost none of the work.

 

But why would they give it for free when they can make you buy it again if you want to play. They aren't going to give stuff away out of the goodness of their heart.

It's the same for Microsoft, they aren't doing backward compatibility because they are nice but because they know they can make money out of it. I've seen at least three people on this forum say that they've bought Mass Effect digitally in order to use it
on the One.
