    BC-101 connecting to Overwatch


    We have tested the Xbox internet connection and have been able to play other games. However when we start to play overwatch, we get an error, please try later...BC-101. We have restarted console, cleaned disk but no luck. What else should be try?

    Have been getting this error code for the past 24hrs unable to find any solutions to this anywhere on here battle.net or google and even tried chatting to one of the technical guys at Battle.net and he was clueless. Getting quite angry now as my son having
    saved up for months to buy this game managed an hour on it yesterday before it crashed and since then have been unable to connect at least and just constantly getting this error message. He managed to play the beta with no issue at all. Somebody at Blizzard
    or Microsoft needs to sort his problem out as a matter of urgency

    Well it turns out the issue had to deal with my Firewall settings on my Cable modem. I had IPv4 protection to Medium and IPv6 protection ON. Disabled the IPv6 protection and set IPv4 to Low. Seems to be working now. Need to see other ways to make a better
    long-term fix.

    This seems to be a recurring problem, as I get it every now and again, too.

    Try unplugging your router/modem and Xbox One for 30 seconds, then reconnect and try again. If it persists, try it for 5 minutes. This is called a power cycle, and it helps to cool down and refresh misbehaving hardware.

    If all else fails, try looking on one of the networking problem forums. Otherwise Overwatch and battle.net could be having issues.

    Sorry to hear that you were unable to play Overwatch—hopefully we can fix that! Are you still experiencing issues connecting? Servers can sometimes be wonky. Have you gone through the troubleshooting steps for

    experiencing slow performance     when playing Xbox One games?

    We also highly recommend power cycling your network devices once more. You can do this by unplugging the modem and the router if you're using one, leave it unplugged for 15-20 seconds, then plug everything back in.

    Power cycling     your Xbox One console couldn't hurt either. :)
