    BBC Iplayer issue


    I've been trying to stream content on BBC Iplayer on my Series X, when I select a programme, it plays for a few seconds before the screen goes white, there is still audio, I can pause the programme and the video controls are still present, after a few moments the app crashes out to the Dashboard with no errors displayed for a crash. This doesn't happen with any of my other streaming apps, Disney +, Netflix and Prime all work great. Has anyone else experienced this? I've tried reinstalling the app, and hard resetting the Xbox which hasn't fixed the issue. My Daughter needs to watch her Hey Duggee!

    Hi,

    As a fellow Brit I've just tested out the BBC iPlayer and have the exact same issue. Screen is white, audio plays but there is no video. I didn't wait until the app crashed.

    It seems to be an bug with the app. I'll see what I can do to forward this to the right people.

    In the meantime, I suggest you access the iPlayer via the Edge Browser. Just move the cursor to the bottom of the screen once you press play.
