    hey! original xbox games have been announced for the backward compatibility program! this one is for the olders among you.remember the BALDUR'S GATE games? i do.with great fondness.dont want to start a riot but they where much better then diablo.balance,pace
    and story.

    Is it safe to assume that Microsoft will not add backwards-compatibility for regular XBox games (not 360)?

    I would NOT assume that Microsoft will not add backwards compatibility for the original Xbox to the Xbox One. This type of backwards compatibility is technically feasible. It would just cost Microsoft money and time to build it. If you want Microsoft to
    build it the best thing you can do is ask them to BAULDUR'S GATE SERIE FOR ORIGINAL XBOX BACKWARD COMPATIBILITY :)

    Time will tell which games will be backwards compatible on the Series X.

    There is currently the Baldurs Gate (Enhanced Edition), containing both of the two original games remastered released on Xbox One.
