Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance

I have tried all sorts!

I cannot get Baulders Gate for the Xbox to work on my 360.

It is on the compatibility list.

The error code is x: 5829.0 B: 1884.0 and the wonderful people who run the site havent put a redirect from there error messages suggested page (xbox.com/games) to anything useful. Infact if i remember right it redirects to buying games, anyway...

A youtube video suggested downloading a patch a sorts from microsoft but as it was on the link above i googled and found this: Download Xbox Game Support Updates from Official Microsoft Download Center -
which is unreadable by my xbox.

Then i went through the post on here which give many different things to try: clearing cache - nope, checking update - nope, checking files in my games data and for an 'unknown' one. nothing.

Can anyone shed some light on this subject preferably that as gotten this same game working?

Is it really worth it?

I played fallout 3 and Rage and I liked those so I am moving away from FPS and looking for a good RPG. Back in the day I was in love with Baulder's Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2 but havent seen a game come close to those in years.

 

Help... Looking for Action RPG with customizable characters.

Do you have an official Microsoft hard drive ?

If not then that's your problem as you need an official hard drive in order to play backward compatible games.

 

I do have the official Hdd. Unless the final fantasy version of xbox didn't have an official Hdd in

 

If you bought the console new then it should be an official hard drive.

Only other things I can think off is that the game could be from the wrong region or if it's a Platinum Edition,as they aren't backwards compatible.

Can't see anything on there that would indicate Platinum or region - unless I've missed it...

Just wish there was a clear cut answer - some says it doesn't work some say it needs an Xbox update.

May have to seek help from Microsoft if i can't get a definitive answer.

It's not a platinum edition & PAL region,which I assume you live in & it is a backwards compatible game.

You do need a software update but chances are you should already have it if you are connected to live.

Sorry but can't think of any other reason why it won't play.

 

Yeah all of the above is correct.

Even tried the left bumper right bumper x (x2) suggested on the link i posted above but nothing when it all reinstalled.

And the update for backwards compatibility on the link above too but disc was always unreadable.

You'd think theyd just put an update like that on the market place for free or even add it to an update :-/ alas.
