    The Battlefield V SP saves are spread quite thin to be honest. But then the chapters aren't actually that long either to be honest. You could always turn the difficulty down if you are finding them a little hard.

    Everything you do is saved to the cloud. However if a game only saves at certain points there is nothing you can do to change those settings. I played this game on Hardcore difficulty and it was maddening trying to advance slowly and not have to redo things.
    You just have to play until you get to the checkpoint

    If there is no save option in the menu when you pause the game then this is not a problem anybody can help with.

    If the auto save points are at a distance you think is too long between, I don't know what to tell you than to be more careful ingame.

    Halo 2 had this problem with checkpoints and you just had to keep trying and get to the next checkpoint.
