Battlefield V installing by itself overnight

I just turned my console on this morning to find Battlefield V in my queue. About 20% downloaded. I never bought it. It's not showing up in my purchases history. I stopped the installation but it is in my games 'ready to install' section. I want to make
sure I'm not charged for it?

I have battlefield one. Got it recently on disc. Does anyone know if this is some kind of bonus giveaway? Is it an error? I mainly just want to make sure I'm not charged for it.

The most logical reason this would be happening is that someone has your console set as their home console.

When a console is set as someone elses home console any other profile on that console can play their digital games and when a game is purchased it is automatically downloaded to that persons home console.

Did some one gift you the game? If so it would install automatically.

I am not aware of any free giveaway of BFV. There is a 50% off sale at the moment for the next 6 or 7 days IIRC.

You should now also be able to directly check the last 3 months purchases on your console using the Xbox Assist feature via the Guide:

press Xbox button on controller
Press RB to System
Select Xbox Assist
select My Xbox Assist
Select Check out your purchases
The default is 1 month but you can change it to 3 months if you need to see that far back
You still have to use the web site to see anything older than 3 months

You can check your transactions at http://commerce.microsoft.com to see if you were charged for it. If not, then it sounds like someone else has your console set as their Home
so you would download anything they purchase.
