Battlefield: Revolution

The idea is genius, but many have pointed out the main problem: creating a diverse and fun gameplay, keeping the roots of the historical period.

I don't think that war would go well with the style of Battlefield. No planes, no tanks, no vehicles really except for horses. Not to mention the horribly slow weapons would not really be very fun to use. I love the time period, but I just don't think it'd
make for a very enjoyable Battlefield game.

They've run out of ideas so gone back to the beginning and remaking their games but with a modern game engine and graphics...

THAT WOULD BE AMAZING except for the fact that the reload time on many weapons would be absolutely brutal. However if we disregard the reality of how long it took to reload weapons back then I think having a Revolutionary War or even Civil War focus would
be a great option for Battlefield. I don't think COD would ever be great in this format but Battlefield franchise could definitely.

You would have to include a musket loading mini game. I just don't think they style of battle would translate well to an action game. "Okay everyone, form columns" Canon loading mini games. It's doable I just don't think it would be very action packed.

Honestly that sounds great or even the civil war the only issue would be the lack of weapons

I think this would be a really cool idea. There is a lot they could do with the story as well and the world could be huge.
