Battlefield Hardline will be 720p on X1

If it was 640x480 but the gameplay is solid that is all that should matter.... .. .. right? .. ..

There's another FACT that people just tend to overlook because it doesn't support their cause. It's the fact that MS never promised all the games would be 1080p and/or 60fps. Did they ever guarantee, by way of public statement, that all next gen games (or
even any, for that matter) would be both? Nope.

Of course they're going to tout the games that have reached this benchmark, but announcing games that have vs guaranteeing any/all games will are completely different.

The fact is, 1080p 60fps is nothing more than an expectation from consumers/gamers based on their own experience and knowledge of current technology. Whether it is, is not, should, or should not (by now), be attainable by all devs, on any/all platforms...
and why... is nothing more than opinion.

If those who are that unhappy about it feel that strongly, go to the competition if that offering is so much better. What's stopping them? Unless they're just looking for something to whine on the internet about.

Concept, meet capitalism... capitalism, concept. Consumer spending drives the market. If a product is that horrible, or so many people are that upset over it's quality, they will stop buying it. The producer (publisher, etc.) will lose money and they'll
either find a way to make it more desirable or they'll go under, to be replaced by another who can do it better. Let the squabbling over whether or not this will happen to the poor devs of Battlefield: HL commence. lol

In the meanwhile, I would like to ask a favor of those still crying. If it wouldn't be much bother, how about going to Mars to do that crying? I have a bounty that requires I collect a certain number of tears on Mars and I'd appreciate the extra help. Oh,
it's a bounty I pick up when I'm playing Destiny BTW... so... I'll be collecting those tears in 1080p, thanks.

 

Lazy devs sorry.We have already seen games run at 1080p so why can't others

 

Old andinefiestent API or what ever the GUP OS is called. But soon that OS will be change to DX12.

 

If a game looks even half-way decent, IMO, the resolution doesn't matter. It can be 720p and still look good, depending on the level of detail...

 

Don't worry,it's doesn't come from current gen consoles.

EA just use what they used with BF4....Why spend resources to improve game engine/resolution,when they known that BF Hardline will be a hit,anyway.

 

Um, I don't know, to better improve themselves perhaps? Those not willing to change things up die a slow, but sure death.

 

I just don't have the XB1 hooked up to a 60 inch tv, so I can't even tell the difference and probably couldn't care if I did.

 

I guess if they r running the same performance level of BF4 that came out more than year ago means 2 things.

Either the engine is not optimized for these consoles or EA wants to get the game out anyway they can.

I would have expected improvements on both consoles. I am skipping this game to me it didn't feel like a BF game and i want to make a statement against rushed products even frame rates drop ridiculously

 

think I will give this a miss for now
