Battlefield Hardline Impression

Obviously who knows until I play it myself but having just spoke to 1 friend who has his copy now, the news is quite encouraging about the Single Player Campaign, he said it's actually decent and has a nice difficulty curve.

Well after 3 hours of play he's enjoyed it more than recent Battlefield campaigns, hopefully I'll feel the same this week!

 

The campaign is actually fun and a bit different but I do admit I prefer the War settings.

Multiplayer is tons of fun and runs very smoothly. Game Modes are great!

 

And there are indeed many more people online now that it is relased in NA. There were about 15k players online yesterday around 2pm EST. thats an ok number considering its not released in Europe yet and it was early afternoon in the US.

 

My game is currently downloading since last night, so I should be able to start playing it for myself at some point later today. Assuming I stop doing that, I'll let you guys know what I think of the game after my 1st play-through.

Still, I find the mixed reactions on these forums interesting to say the least. It seems that most people actually playing the game seem to enjoy while those on the outside looking in (via videos, reviews, and such), seem to think it's pretty bad and as
a result some are already deciding to avoid this game entirely.

As for it not being a "real" Battlefield game, it doesn't really concern me. I've always liked the cops and robbers dynamic better anyways due to having grown up games like Counter-Strike and Grand Theft Auto, which are just 2 examples of games this game
seems to borrow from.

 

The attention to detail so far in this game is awesome.

You would think a place like the Florida Everglades would be a drab experience.

Well it is. But Hardline captures it perfectly. From the sweat pouring from the characters faces, the native wildlife, and even the overpopulation of bugs. The rented airboat is even painted just like one of the airboats you would see if you went on an tour.

I can't wait for the next chapter!
