battlefield hardline 1080p 60fps

There will always be reasons to compare, but at least we'll be comparing the graphics, and not the flipping resolution. Graphic comparisons have genuine substance behind them, even if they don't make or break a game for you.

 

I don't mind these threads I just don't usually respond to them becasue I don't care. But to me graphics do matter and there the main reason I got a X1/PS4.

The majority of these games are last gen and current gen games so if the gameplay was all that mattered I could have saved a lot of money and waited on buying new consoles.

But some people made a big deal about it not being a issue and they didn't want people making threads about it but now they do it. So is it important or is it not important you can't have it both ways.

 

PS fanboys aside, I believe most people on this forum think gameplay is more important than RES/FPS. But won't turn down a game that has both. Thanks for playin.

 

Graphics are good to have but fps is important to.i don't care if one console has slightly better graphics so freaking what lol

as long as they both look good that's all that matters

 

I don't want to hear about 1080p 60fps.

The only thing I want to hear is that the game is NOT BROKEN when it gets released.

Until then the cash stays in my pocket.

 

I find a few things interesting:

1. I like how the article is saying "Shooting for" and "should be" 1080p....yet he X1 faithfuls are all over it saying "SEE THE X1 CAN DO 1080P/60FPS AND 4K RESOLUTION!!!!!"

2. I like how Deacon act as if ppl are dumb if they didn't have faith in the X1...as if there wasn't game after game....proof after proof that the X1 was having trouble reaching 1080p.

3. I think it's funny that the game isn't even out yet and ppl are on the bandwagon. When games that have just been released are still lower res....and then theres games like Diablo that aren't 1080p....but everytime 1 game comes out thats 1080p....it's
"X1 CAN DO 1080P.....TOLD YOU!!!"

4. Then theres the fact that ppl are blaming the devs. It would be different if it was one dev....that constantly came out with games that were subpar, but it's not. Theres a variety of devs that seem to not be able to get 1080p on the X1.

5. Lastly, I like how ppl don't think about the fact that it might be harder to program for the X1....sorta goes with #4 b/c it might not be the devs fault.

 

If graphics aren't important then why don't we just play games on our original 2001 XBOX's and on a standard definition TV? Bottom line is, graphics do matter, but only if you can visibly see them. Graphic numbers are thrown around these games, but if you
have to capture frame by frame to even see them then no graphics don't matter.

 

Because they stopped making them? The oldest system I currently have is PS2 AND the game that I play on it is Driver 2 (PS1 game.). The two T.V.s that I mainly play on are 32" 720p...very seldom play on the 63" 1080p. The only reason I upgraded the 32"s
was for the fact I couldn't read the washed out writing in games like Oblivion on the old C.R.T.s.

Sure graphics are nice, but I prefer game-play. If it was all about graphics I'd go into the other room and play on the gaming rig I haven't even turned on in 8 months...do all my computer work, forums, etc., on a outdated laptop.

So ICN3D your number 4 point "it isnt the devs fault" so is it the devs fault that soul suspect on the ps4 has high screen tearing would u blame that on the devs or on the ps4

 

I need to drink some of this kool-aid some of you guys on are, guys the amount of PR talk that people eat up is insane.

@N7 Gh0stz I read digital foundry on Soul Suspect and most screen tearing occurs on cut scenes, but I cant speak for the game itself and it got bad reviews and I was never interested in it, and I believe it is on the devs as the tech analysis asked why they
choose to do certain programming, you should actually read the whole article versus taking your selection perception and spinning it.

1080p/60fps I'll believe it when I see it, but I'm guessing it will be the same as BF4 900p/60fps.

 

1080p - 60fps, meh, its good to see the X1 pulling the numbers, but will it affect my enjoyment that much? Nope.

 

Karma i did read the whole site. my point was he was saying dont blame the devs yet it is the devs fault if a game is screen tearing not the console both consoles screen tear because of the devs. if they say it will be 1080p then i believe them wolfenstien
was 1080p so is forza the xb1 can do 1080p we all know this only people who have no faith in the xb1 will say dif

 

If you want 1080p on Xbox one,just set your console at 1080p.Very Easy.

By the way,i saw some gameplay from Halo Master Chief collection.

They showed Halo 2 ,the 2004 version running at 1080p,and guess what ? It's looks old,outdated....

And then they showed the 2014 at 1080p,and it's looks great.

Strange because for some people,resolution is everything and solves everything.

Why the 2014 version looks good (better) ? 1080p ?

Nope,textures,lightning effects,....all of these has been remade/ improved......

1080p is just a very small part of a game visuals.

A message to games publishers,not need to bother you with great graphics,just write 1080p on the box and people will believe it's looks gorgeous.

 

Resolution is little more than a freckle counter. You can see 25 freckles with 720p, and you can see 32 freckles with 1080.

 

I honestly don't care. Tell me Hardline actually plays different then BF4 and has a decent single-player campaign, THEN I might be interested in res and FPS.

It's not that I don't care about resolution and FPS. I'll take 1080 over 900 and 900 over 720 and 60 FPS over 30 FPS. But what bugs me is how this has become the story about games in general and game graphics in particular. It leads to such ridiculous hyperbole
on both sides.

Xbox One fans, if you switch back and forth between 1080 and 720, it's noticeable. Yes, even on a 32" screen. Stop pretending it's not.

For the haters, stop pretending that's a realistic situation. Most people aren't switching back and forth immediately between the two and the difference really won't be that clear at all when it's separated by turning off your console and driving over to
your friend's house to try and compare your PS4 to his XB1... and, no, 30 FPS isn't unplayable.

Now that this is out of the way, can we recognize how far down the list this should be in terms of what there is to care about? I mean, really? When you look back at what the 360 games looked like over PS3 multiplats, or what Xbox and GameCube games looked
like over PS2, or PS1 over Saturn, or those of you old enough to remember Super Nintendo over Genesis like me, having 1080p over 900p is seriously like one of the smallest differences we have ever seen in a gen... so can we please act that way?
