Shows it can be done...and that Infinity Ward and Dice (to name a few) were just lazy (or pushed to release the game before they could "finish" it).

But to be honest - I know a lot of people make a big fuss about resolution, but really it just an attribute that is over-rated. You can have a game running at 1080p but with poor lighting and shadows.

IMO - (currently) Ryse is still the best looking game out there....beating all those 1080p/60fps games by a country mile.

 

Good news I guess. Hopefully if this continues people may start comparing games and not res.

As long as the developers didn't have to sacrifice anything major to get the game running in full-HD then I'm happy, but as I've said many times before resolution on consoles should not matter because the hardware can't be upgraded.

Other than the title....where exactly does it say it will be 1080/60. All I saw in the articles were words like "aiming for" and "should be"

 

EA quality controls on games and online should be their main focus.

 

Good news. Hopefully the final game will be better than the BETA because right now I'm not sure if I will be getting it.

only people interested in perpetuating the mindless fanboy have ever believed the Xbox One was incapable of 1080p. i've always said it was a developer thing .. it had nothing to do with the console itself and for anyone to believe otherwise is really disapppointing.
to even think for a second it couldn't do 1080p was just dumb.

 

beta is pretty pish if im honest, shouldve been called something else rather than tacking the BF title on it

 

Excellent news. I'm keen to see just how amazingly better it looks if they're successful. I mean there was such an outcry, I expect it to make the 720p Battlefield 4 look like a screensaver...

 

I think the biggest evidence that some developers ate lazy is that Diablo 3 is 900p on the Xbox One, my PC can run it at 1080p and it's a two year old AMD system (one of the second gen apu from amd) and it's not that great a pc.

 

Lol Fatal, Well I for one am looking forward to this glorious 1080p picture . As soon as both consoles start running games at the same res then hopefully the sooner we start comparing games on story and how much fun it is, instead
of resolution.
