Battlefield Bad Company 2 VIP Maps Not Available to Download

Anyone who has the Battlefield BC2 VIP item is supposed to have access to eight VIP map packs.

Unfortunately, these do not seem to be on the Xbox Live servers anymore.

It does not matter if you had VIP access from long ago (as I did) or if you just added it now.

The GwG version of the game recognizes that I have VIP access, but does NOT show any of the VIP content as available to download in the in-game store (which is where you are supposed to download the VIP items). Oddly enough I can download a trailer of some
of the VIP maps, but not the maps themselves.

Considering that the VIP packs more than double the maps and modes that come with the game, it would be great to see those restored. This way everyone with VIP access can update their downloaded version of the game. Otherwise, it makes for fragmented MP
communities as the only people who still have those maps are those that did not delete previous downloads.

Unfortunately, even if you are able to download it, you're not going to be able to play the VIP maps which I assume is the reason you're trying to download it. I have both the VIP download and the Update#3 in my download history and I've redownloaded them
both but the VIP maps are still missing.

Apparently it's a global issue, no one has been able to play the VIP maps for several months now, pretty damn lame.

 

Does Battlefield 2 require a online pass?

I'm guessing you mean Battlefield: Bad Company 2? If you buy it new you get a VIP pass that unlocks a load of multiplayer maps. If you get a preowned copy you can still play online but you're restricted to a lousy 4 maps per gamemode.

 

I downloaded it, it worked fine I was on the level with the windmills then the game just went into the dashboard faster then I have seen it before (probably when the *** at EA removed it from the servers) reloaded it only four crappy levels with no cool
stuff anymore and their charging for onslaught and Vietnam when they don't work either its a great deal isn't it

Hey there, guys! I'm sorry to see that you are unable to access some features of the VIP pass. If this is because they are no longer on our Marketplace, I suggest
contacting EA to let them know that you would like to have access to those items again.

If you guys are having issues accessing items that should be available, please do post up a new thread so that the community may be able to assist you getting those up and running!

 

Misses Quinzel, I think you've misunderstood the question.

The VIP pass is like a season pass. Those who have it, are supposed to have certain maps and modes available in-game.

These items certainly should be available, as even when items are delisted (such as arcade games), those who still have an entitlement to use them are allowed to re-download.

 

It's not a seasons pass

It was a code only given when a game was new for online and extra Dlc

However publishera still retain the right to discontinue offering content as per international copyright laws

Publishers can decide to discontinue services as they see fit and it is not needed for core part of the game

As ms is not the publisher you will have to ask the publisher for access to the discontinued service
