Battlefield 4 WILL NOT UPDATE, it acts as if I don't need to update the game!!!

I also posted this on the battlefield 4 site, but figured I should post it here too just in case someone knows how I can manually update a game through xbox live.

load up Battlefield 4, it takes me to the menu and I cannot access the store and it will not show any servers, just constantly says no servers available. I try to join a friend it says we have incompatible versions, I try to join a game from the battlelog
and it says the same thing. So I've come to the conclusion that I am missing an update and my xbox/game will not download it for me. Is there any way to manually download an update, I have deleted the cache multiple times, powering down the xbox one by holding
down the power button and also deleting my game file for battlefield 4. This is very frustrating and I have tried googling the problem but cannot find anything about this besides one thread which can be found here Xbox One Wont downlo - Forums - Battlelog / Battlefield 4.
Please help me fix the problem, or if anyone can let me know if I have any options of getting a refund for the game, I have not been able to play online at all because of this, and I tried playing the campaign but my progress was randomly deleted when I got
on one day...

TLDR;

Battlefield 4 will not update, it does not give me an option to update and because of this I am running an incompatible version of the game which hinders me from playing the game online, which is the only reason to play the game.

There could be a number of reasons for this, such as your friends playing map packs you don't have, etc.

However, i' make sure your Xbox One is set to automatically update (in the settings) and then uninstall the game and reinstall it.

When you reinstall it, it should install all necessary patches at the same time.

You see being a good person as acting above one's nature as if our first instinct is to be bad. I don't think that we cant act outside of our nature and if a human is good then being good is very much part of her nature. Humans cooperate with relative ease,
and luckily so, else our ancestors wouldn't have made it far ( think ancient tribes). Through what mechanism does a human reach her "inner-good", according to you?

Are you saying that only humans can be altruistic and, in turn, this is what separates humans from animals? Don't mean to misinterpret but that's what I'm getting from your "act above base instinct" and "overcoming self-serving nature". If so, then I strongly
disagree. There are a million examples (none of which I will Google for you) in nature of wild animals exhibiting altruistic behavior.

In answer to your question, no, you don't need Xbox Live to play Single player games, even games on EA Access.

Try the following:

With the console powered on, hold down the power button until your machine goes off. Wait about 10 seconds and power back on. Try your game again.

If that doesn't work, try deleting and downloading the game again.
