Battlefield 4 taking over 13 hours to update?

Well, started a Battlefield 4 update yesterday at 2 PM. Here I am at 1:18 PM and the thing still isn't done. I stopped the update overnight, but it ran for a solid 12 hours straight yesterday and I started it again about an hour ago. Just now at 71%. Not
only this, my hard drive has 200 GB consumed when I only have 2 games installed... Battlefield 4 and PvZ GW. Talk about disheartening. But, back to the download. My internet runs at a consistent 1 megabyte (or 10 megabits), but for some reason the Xbox is
only being supplied half of that. My ports are open and the NAT is open. Even so, this download should NOT be taking over 13 hours to install. My account is also silver right now, if that matters. Anyone have any suggestions besides power cycling everything?

Digital Download taking over 18 hours to download

Sorry to hear it. If you are using other devices then you would see a decrease in your download speed. Especially if you're using wireless. If you are using wireless then I'd recommend using an ethernet connection for the duration of the download.

Power cycling is a good place to start. You can try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off.

Also try unplugging your modem/router for 5 seconds to see if that helps.

Updates shouldn't take that long. If your Internet is fast, then it's a problem on the game's side. I would stop the update and try again.

Mine is doing the same thing. Did the update at 6am this morning and it has been black screen all day over 13 hours later. I do not have access to a PC to do the offline update to try and fix this nor do I have the time to take it to someone to fix it. There must be something that Xbox can do on their end to fix this for us

Folks, it should be noted that EA servers for Battlefield 4 require a minimum age of 13 to play their games online.

... searched this issue and read it can take 24 hours to update. On this site though it did update correctly after a while, but then went back to the incorrect one. GTA 5 has the correct name displayed when the game is loading but the wrong name when you
are on an online server. Same with Battlefield 4 - correct name on main menu, wrong name in game.
