Battlefield 4 - not responding to controller.

I've had this problem the past couple of days i can play the campaign fine until the second half installs and i cannot playing anything it doesn't respond to my controller, input at all. I've delete and re installed the game and I've hard reset the console
a few times.

Anyone have a solution please let me know.

yeah my controller is up to date. But i just found the solution, by opening the game then logging out of the profile.

Then i log back in and it works fine.

Thanks for the reply, but none of these are the issue I'm having. My controller works totally fine, unless I have a game running. Then only the home button responds. Maybe it's an issue with the games (but all the ones I have?).

Example: Controller is working completely fine. I launch Battlefield 4. No button on the controller now works. I hit the home button. I return to the dashboard and the controller once again works fine.

I'm on my second replacement and it's looking like a third. Playing Battlefield 4 the controller acts even stranger by freezing the screen and the controller gets stuck on rumble.

The thing is we've had a number of developers say they now prefer the Dualshock 4 for this generation of systems:

I'll still be reserving judgement until I get some decent play time with both, but it is starting to sound like both pads will be decent this time around.
