    Battlefield 4 "installation stopped"


    I digitally purchased BF4 through deals with Gold.

    After installing just over 14GB, the game keeps giving me an "installation stopped" message no matter how many times I resume it.

    I've already tried a full hard reset. Even cleared Persistent Storage and Alternate MAC Address. It just keeps giving me this message every minute. Recently downloaded Horizon, GOW UE and RoTR. No issues at all.

    FunkayFooj, since you have the preview dashboard, you'll want to have your brother report the issue via the preview app on the console, or in the preview forums (forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx).
    If you get a message that says Group Not Found, have him create a post here requesting access:

    forums.xbox.com/.../4268.aspx

    Also, it sounds like your issue is different, because you are installing from a disc. Usually, turning the Xbox off by holding the Xbox logo on the front until it fully shuts down and unplugging the power cord from the back for 5 minutes will help this.
    I always choose Update Later when prompted, because it makes the game install faster.

    Even if it works after that, you'll still want to have him report it so the preview team is aware of the issue.

    Hey I'm not sure if it'll help, but some people fixed a similar issue by changing their DNS server, which as far as I know isn't listed anywhere on Microsoft's troubleshooting, so it's worth a shot:

    Same issue here with Battlefield 4. Mine Downloaded 25 GB out of 38 GB

    Hey all!

    Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with installing Battlefield!

    Are you still running into trouble or have you been able to install the game since you first started experiencing this?

    Yes, the problem still exists. It also says it's ready to start, but the game won't load either. I read something about the EA Free Access weekend maybe messing everything up, but I paid for it with the Gold special.

    That's odd KingJobber8742!

    Let's try removing it completely from your Xbox One, followed by a power cycle (hold down the power button for 8-10 seconds), and then reinstall the game to see if there's any change after that.

    Advanced Warfare download is ridiculous

    Purchased new Call of duty xbox one bundle tooks hours to install game.After it was done installed lords of fallen game disc normally.After that tried to install Forza Horizon 2 and Battlefield 4 and the installation would keep stopping and not installing.

    Hey there Devious!

    You will need to have a hard drive in order to be able to install Battlefield 4. The mandatory install cannot be installed to a USB drive or to the 4gb internal flash memory on an Xbox 360 console.
