Battlefield 3 - Premium not carrying over correctly | Backwards compatibility bug? | Fix needed

Hey there everyone,

I ran into some problems regarding the backwards compatibility of Battefield 3, which I would like to discuss in this topic, hoping for some sort of fix/solution, since I might not be the only one experiencing this problem.

The install of Battlefield 3 on Xbox One went seamless at first, I had all DLC installed which I originally bought when Battlefield 3 came out for Xbox 360.

Here's the 'but', though:

- I do not have access to my assignments, which results in me missing all DLC weapons and camo's, dog tags

- The game doesn't tell me anywhere that I am already a Premium owner, instead I only get the option to buy Premium

So, I had BF3 Premium on xbox 360, but now, on Xbox One, I do have all DLC, but lost my premium access.

I went by every detail in the store that I knew of, searching for a way that I might have to 'install' premium, but I did not find anything, only an option to buy Premium.

I made this topic to see if there are more people experiencing this problem, but also if there is anybody that knows a fix to this. Because I am not going to buy Premium for the second time.

Not sure why it is not working...unless you are trying BO2? According to this list:

BO2 is NOT BC....only BO1 is.

 

XBOX 720 RUMORS!

To be honest, I don't see Gamerscore, a person's Xbox Live Gamertag, Achievements and game history carrying over unless the 720 DOES allow full backwards compatibility. It just wouldn't make sense. I mean, if the 720 doesn't support backwards compatibility,
then what?--Will everyone's Gold subscriptions just stop? Will nobody be able to play online with their 36o anymore because their account is now linked tot he 720 database? It just doesn't make sense. Not to mention news of the 360 "Lite" further supports
Live integration of this generation and the next.--And gamerscore... and backwards compatibility.

 

if you go under manage game you can download premium and dlcs if you own them. if you purchased premium and do not have access to it you should contact ea support @ help.ea.com as it may be an account issue on their end. if you have premium before through
sharing method it will not carry over

 

I visited the site as you said, but they have not yet implemented the possibility of backwards compatibility for battlefield 3, I think, because I am only getting the platform options x360, ps3, pc, and iPhone.

I'm still browsing through the site, to maybe find another way to contact them regarding my issue

 

you can still use the xbox 360 selection as its not an xbox one game its still a xbox 360 game. they should be able to help

It is not possible to carry over premium, so it seems. I had a chat with a very nice EA helpdesk employee, but nothing they could do to help. So it may be a problem at microsofts side.

 

i think they misunderstood. but you can always try live chatting with support as they will get you a faster more direct approach to the issue
