Battlefield 2042 still marked as trial version

Hello,

When BF2042 was released I downloaded the trial version of it to test out the game. Now I have the full game on disk but when ever I try to install the full version, the game is always marked as trial version. Not so bad in the first place, eventhough I can play the full game. But when my friends try to join me, they will always be send back to the MS store and it says they can only play with trial players. So I'm really confused, why it always installs my trial version. Is there anyway to remove this trial license from my account?

Let's try something. Please download the Xbox app in your mobile phone.
Once you configure your console and account there, search for battlefield 2042
After that, hit the "download to console" button and select your Xbox

Once downloaded insert the disc and check if the issue has been solved

**PS: Uninstall the game and eject the disc before doing that

You're welcome and to access the trial simply follow the steps below:

On your console, open the Store app and search for Battlefield 2042

Select Battlefield 2042 Xbox One - Choose edition

Select Battlefield 2042 Xbox One - this should be the first option with no price available

Select Free Trial with EA Play and then select Install all

I hope you are doing well today. Welcome to the Xbox Community. Thank you for reaching out to Xbox Forums. You mentioned that you purchased Battled 2042 physical version. With Battlefield 2042, there are two versions that the Publisher EA released. When you bought the game, did you make sure it was the one that gave you access to both the Xbox One & Series X version? Or did you purchase the one that only gives you the Xbox One version and is playable via back compat on Xbox Series X. Click Here to view an example of what I am trying to explain? If you purchased the incorrect version of Battlefield 2042, I would contact the store or place you bought it and see if they could exchange it for you and sell you the correct version.

Since it was purchased at Walmart they would have to be the ones to exchange it. Since they won't you could try seilling the version you have somewhere and then buy the correct one.

I thought the same and apparently if it's purchased through a console you have to deal with them instead, the cycle continues....
