    Battlefield 2042 hard crashing my series X


    Hi, I have been trying to participate in the current early access of BF 2042, but have been running into issues of it closing to home screen, or more worryingly, completely hard crashing my console. I have tried posting in the EA forums but it's not really getting me anywhere, and I have seen there are quite a few people having the same problem. Any help would be great!

    Sorry to hear about the game crashing your console. EA is aware of an issue with a solution coming down the line soon to get this fully fixed. Since this is with a 3rd party game and an issue identified within that game, we are reliant on EA coming up with a fix.

    I'm Samy an independent advisor. Welcome to the Xbox community. How are you?

    Click with the menu button on the game icon and go to manage game and add-ons and in saved data delete the ''reserved space'', clean your console's MAC, restart when prompted, and try again.

    To clean the MAC follow this path
    Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.

    If the issue persists, I recommend contacting EA support to report the issue.

    I’m having the same issue and have tried everything, including the DNS change and removing of my profile. I really want to play the game with my friends who also have a Series X but mines is the only one crashing.

    Hi Josef, Thankyou for reaching out.

    This is only happening with bf 2042. I play in the series X console. I don’t think it’s a case of overheating or anything as my console is clean and has never overheated before. In terms of troubleshooting, I have re installed game, soft reset my console. Messed around with a bunch of setting like MAC address, cleared the save files etc. still nothing is working.
