    Nothing at all.

    It's just much more difficult to do than many people realise.

    Most people wouldn't have a prayer of being able to shoot another person with a rifle at 500 yards.

    Go prone and you're not only a smaller target but your rifle is a lot more stable and your accuracy shall increase sharply.

    This used to be reflected in "Battlefield" but was quietly patched as it made people feel less l33t and that's not what they played "Battlefield" for.

    Most people wouldn't have a prayer of being able to shoot another person with a rifle at 500 yards. True I generally missed the 300 meter target when doing my 6 month qualification. However when has Battlefield had a clear 500 yard map?

    The trailer to me was over hyped during the flying scenes, I don't think bi and triplanes moved as fast as jets.

    Azrael008uk, so simply "standing up" while shooting is not the qualification of a "arcade shooter". But now it's about range? Moving the goal post or red herring?

    Probably red herring.

    Shooting Fish in a Barrel is the experience people want in a Battlefield Game.

    When the Fish shoot back that's going to get people complaining it's imbalanced or broken.

    Leave realism to the history books and you won't need to worry about being able to shoot a moving goalpost.

    You'll be able to nail it right between the eyes with your throwing knife as you shout "NO-SCOPED" down your microphone.

    So have we actually seen any gameplay footage or are we just getting really excited about some CGI montage?

    Battlefield 1

    My thoughts, Doc, is that if it is good I will play it. Futuristic/modern or old war can both be great. The new COD game looked fun as well.

    Basically if the game play well and the gun play works it will be a good game. The thing is some will get caught up in the WW1 and say it is crap or boring looking. Others will say the futuristic/modern are overdone. When really, they all have been. My
    big thing is it just needs to be a good game with solid gameplay.

    I cannot wait for this, it is about time we go back to set classes and less gimicky tech perks you get in the latest versions, BF is the best for FPS anyway as they don't do crappy perks like the arcade shooter called cod, and yes cod is an arcade shooting
    game which has become so boring because they filled it with to much rubbish.

    Sit in the trench until the whistle blows and then charge the enemy trench until you're shredded by machine gun fire unless the shelling gets you first.

    War isn't fun.

    There's only one game I've ever played that actually got close to what it's like to be under fire in combat and that's "Shellshock: Nam '67" and that wasn't so much fun for that very reason.

    (Honourable mention to "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" for it's realistic portrayal of what it's actually like to try and shoot standing up).

    They won't do it justice.

    They'll idealise it like they always do but it's probably better that way.

    I'm torn...Battlefield games always look fun, but It's been my experience they're always broken at least for a year; having lost my campaign saves three times on Battlefield Bad Company 2 soured me on E.A. games. Titanfall was the exception.

    The trailer looked great and has me VERY tempted, though I'll take a wait and see approach.
