I don't want factually correct, I want fun, there is a very different play stye between cod and BF, but looking forward to seeing BF offers, I hope there an beta.

 

I think the new Battlefield will be fun, I like that they switched it up a bit and gone with a older war with WW1. Honestly I'm equally excited about BF and the new COD, since I am more than willing to give both a shot. Hopefully this game delivers a good
experience.

I also hope it is not broken this time at launch since I decided to take the risk and get the early enlister version.

Yeah... with a search that took less than 15 seconds, I found a "short" list of "boring" weapons used in WWI. This is just the infantry weapons list though, categorized by country... so maybe that's why it seems so "short". I do have to admit... as "short"
and "boring" as it seemed, I couldn't simply skim past the "Leach Trench Catapult" and the "Sauterelle". I had to check them out.

I'm torn...Battlefield games always look fun, but It's been my experience they're always broken at least for a year; having lost my campaign saves three times on Battlefield Bad Company 2 soured me on E.A. games. Titanfall was the exception.

The trailer looked great and has me VERY tempted, though I'll take a wait and see approach.

brandiesel1, from what I understand hearing LC (Level Cap) speak of what he can in regards to SP/ Campaign, it is supposed to be some over-arcing story across either multiple Theaters or Soldiers. Some of it is suppose to tie
into MP as well. What that means, who knows?

Just throwing wild guesses out there, I believe battles in MP will be represented in scenes of SP/ Campaign. Not directly watching a MP Battle (of course) but as a background setting or narrative during a SP/ Campaign play.

As long as it's similar to Bad company 2 in teaching you the mechanics of the MP game in an enjoyable story. I'll be good.

Sit in the trench until the whistle blows and then charge the enemy trench until you're shredded by machine gun fire unless the shelling gets you first.

War isn't fun.

There's only one game I've ever played that actually got close to what it's like to be under fire in combat and that's "Shellshock: Nam '67" and that wasn't so much fun for that very reason.

(Honourable mention to "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" for it's realistic portrayal of what it's actually like to try and shoot standing up).

They won't do it justice.

They'll idealise it like they always do but it's probably better that way.

I'm really looking forward to this game. It was about time a shooter went back to the past.

 

I cannot wait for this, it is about time we go back to set classes and less gimicky tech perks you get in the latest versions, BF is the best for FPS anyway as they don't do crappy perks like the arcade shooter called cod, and yes cod is an arcade shooting
game which has become so boring because they filled it with to much rubbish.

 

They're both Arcade Shooters.

They used to be able to boast about realistic bullet physics but changed this so you could hit people while firing standing up.

Doesn't mean it's a bad game. Let's just not kid ourselves and insist that "Battlefield is where da real war's at".

Watched the trailer and if that is gameplay footage it looks stunning.

 

Azrael008uk, if I can ask what is wrong with the idea of shooting while standing up? lol
